Description
Thumb Shifter Reflects Rivendell's Philosophy
RIVENDELL BICYCLE WORKS/ The original thumbshifter was created by Rivendell Bicycle Works, which has a workshop outside of San Francisco, California. The design was created from scratch. DIA-COMPE , a component manufacturer with a long history, was in charge of the production.
The unique friction operation feeling, not found in index levers, is a feature of this shifter. It is flexible enough to adjust to the wire extension sensibly. It is a simple, old-fashioned mechanism that you adjust yourself while driving.
The "chir-chir-chir-chir" sound made when the lever is returned is also unique to this shifter. It gives you a real sense of operating the instrument and is pleasant to use. The small lever with a groove cut into the end fits well in the fingers and can be operated naturally.
The understated and authentic appearance goes well with many steel frames as well as Rivendell frames. This is a shifter that you will want to use for a long time, and that will never go out of style.
