複雑化してきたチェーンの摩耗をチェックするためのツールが ABBEY BIKE TOOL / アビーバイクツールから登場しました。
通常、チェーンは「インナートップ/アウターロウ」にならないよう、できる限り襷掛けしないように、と教えられるものですが、 1x ドライブトレインが普及した昨今では、チェーンが少なからず交差してしまうような状況が多くなってきました。
さらにフラットトップチェーンの登場により、チェーン摩耗のシチュエーションは様相を変えてきています。
チェーン摩耗測定の主な問題点は、SRAMフラットトップチェーンのローラー直径の微妙な違いと、市販の摩耗ツールの精度不足です。ローラー直径の差により、摩耗率が0.2%ずれる可能性があり、交換の基準に影響を与えます。また、多くのチェーンチェッカーはレーザーカットされており、その誤差が重なり合うことで、さらに測定精度が低下する可能性があります。
Abbeyチェーンウェアプレートは、チェーン摩耗測定に精度をもたらすツールで、異なるローラー直径にも対応し、また横方向の摩耗をも測定が可能です。
V字型の切り込みは正確にローラーの中心を判別し、ピンを穴に合わせることで、ローラー摩耗の影響を排除して精度の高い測定を実現します。
横方向の摩耗を測定するには、チェーンを自転車から外し、チェーンをボス(長方形の突起部分)にローラーの中心を押し当てて垂直に持ち、どの程度たるむかを確認します。
"6"より大きい値であればシフティングのパフォーマンスが低下しており、新しいチェーンに交換することで改善が図れます。
ビレット(金属塊)からCNC加工でツールを製造し、0.0002インチ（0.005mm）という非常に厳しい公差を保つ、耐久性と精度を実現した至極の逸品。
理想的なチェーンチェックツールですね。

Complete Bike Shipping within Japan
- A shipping fee of ¥9,900 (tax included) applies to complete bikes. Additional charges may apply for Okinawa and remote islands.
- After purchase, we perform a final inspection before shipping. Please allow 1–2 weeks in some cases.
- For packing, some parts may be removed. We strongly recommend having the bike reassembled and checked by your local bicycle shop before riding.
- We will contact you by email with delivery details.
- Products are also sold in-store, so availability may change before the order is finalized.
Frameset Shipping within Japan
- Flat-rate shipping within Japan: ¥5,500 (tax included). Additional charges may apply for Okinawa and remote islands.
- Shipping rates for OMNIUM framesets and complete bikes differ.
- We will contact you by email with delivery details.
- Facing and tapping preparation for framesets purchased from Circles is available at no additional charge. Details will be provided after purchase.
- Headset and bottom bracket installation are also available for an additional labor fee. Please contact us if required.
Custom & Stock Wheel Shipping within Japan
- A shipping fee of ¥2,000 (tax included) applies. Additional charges may apply for Okinawa and remote islands.
- Stock wheels undergo a final inspection by a mechanic before shipping. Please allow approximately 3 business days for dispatch.
