The deeper meaning behind choosing chromoly.

The reason Bike Friday actively uses chromoly steel is rooted in the founders' philosophy that they want their bikes to be the best possible companions for traveling the world. Because Bike Friday bikes are folding bikes, they are meant to be folded and unfolded repeatedly, making the highly durable chromoly material the ideal choice. Even in the worst-case scenario where a bike breaks while on a trip, chromoly can be repaired by welding it locally.
