SimWorks Doppo's first new series is Locust

SimWorks Doppo Locust, the off-road touring model that brings nature to life.

The new Locust model redefines and restructures the Doppo MTB to meet many of the needs of today's off-road touring bikers, with specs, sizing, and color schemes designed to encourage more cyclists to embark on wilderness adventures. and re-launched the MTB.

What is Doppo Locust?

There are steep mountains, forests with towering trees, and streams running through them.

Sometimes there are rocky wildernesses, and sometimes there are deserts covered with sand as far as the eye can see.

Off-roading is interesting because you can freely drive in the wilderness that shows many faces.

We named our vehicle Locust to remind ourselves not to destroy such delicate nature like crazy locusts, but also to be like a grasshopper with wings, flapping its wings to uncharted lands without fear.

The original concept of the Doppo series: "Walking alone

The important concept behind the Doppo series is "to be the best tool to help you on your way, unencumbered by anything." and we design and manufacture them with this simple thought in mind. Locust is the most rugged model in the series.

Why not Doppo MTB?

We did not want the Doppo series to create a limited-use image by using the same MTB name as today's oversimplified MTB scene.

The Doppo MTB has been redefined and reimagined to meet many of the needs of today's off-road touring bike users.

Carefully considered design

Originally designed as a trail bike, the Doppo Locust is not a bike for extreme speed or action, but it is built around its identity as an off-road bike and mountain tool that embodies the idea of being a solo rider. The frame is designed with the aim of embodying the solo rider's identity as a mountain tool.

In addition to the usual bottle gauge mounts on the frame, a three-hole mount is provided on the underside of the downtube. This allows you to lighten yourself up by allocating the tools you need for touring and other activities.

The frame design is compatible with 29" and 27.5", swallowing up to 2.4" tires on the 29" and even up to 2.8" tires on the 27.5".

Doppo Original Fork

The 44mm head tube, the standard for today's mountain bikes, allows for the use of the included original Tange CrMo fork or a suspension fork of your choice (around 120mm recommended).

The standard fork legs are equipped with 3-hole mounts, allowing for a high degree of expandability to accommodate your bikepacking style. This single fork allows you to just go for a ride, regardless of the constant on/off-road cycles that occur during your everyday exploratory rides.

Made with Tange tubing

Like the Doppo ATB, Doppo Locust's main tubing uses a set of high-quality CrMo steel tubes manufactured by Tange.

Right thing in the right place

It is also compatible with dropper posts and has a hidden hole in the seat tube for cable routing.

Disc mounts are international at the front and post mount pedestals at the rear, as is standard on MTB bikes.
