【SHIN All Road】Custom bikes built by the creator of SIMWORKS Doppo

This is an All Road bike from SHIN / Hattori Seisakusho that we delivered a few years ago.

Based in Oguchi-cho, Niwa-gun, Aichi Prefecture, SHIN / Hattori Seisakusho is a custom frame builder that meticulously crafts every single frame by hand.

The builder, Mr. Hattori, is a cyclist at heart. Using the solid skills he acquired at the United Bicycle Institute in the United States, he carefully shapes each bike by taking in the rider’s physique, riding style, and desired feel.

Designed for not just speed, but also comfort and ease of handling, these frames make you realize from the very first pedal stroke that this is a bike built just for you.

Mr. Hattori is also deeply involved in the production of the SIMWORKS Doppo. It is precisely because of his careful craftsmanship that the Doppo is what it is. While you might know him primarily as a Doppo builder at Circles, custom frame orders are certainly possible as well.

Since this All Road, which he built for us, recently pulled into our pit, I would like to introduce it to you again.

The owner is a pure-blooded runner. He not only enjoys road riding and trail running, participating in various races, but is also diligent about his daily training.

What sparked his interest in cycling was commuting around town and gravel riding while camping. His first bike was the KONA Rove ST, a popular choice at Circles. After getting it, he found himself more captivated by the joy of cycling than he had ever imagined.

With the instincts of an athlete, it was only natural for him to feel like he wanted to go "faster and more comfortably." However, running is serious enough for him, and when it comes to cycling, he had a strong desire to enjoy it with a bit more freedom and peace of mind.

Based on his wishes to be "faster and more comfortable," to have something "highly durable that can be ridden for a long time," and to have "something optimal for himself," he decided to order a custom frame.

At Circles, we carry many handmade bikes, but knowing about the Doppo and wanting to have one made by someone local, he decided to place an order with SHIN.

Since delivery, he has ridden it to many places, but because he had taken a short break recently, we freshened things up with some new bar tape and a basic tune-up.

By the way, the tires were replaced during his last maintenance.

It has warmed up all at once, so I am sure he will be back to fully enjoying his cycle life from here on out.
