【OUTER SHELL】 I really want the Mega Bar Bag.

When I go touring or on long rides, one thing I focus on is
‘reducing hassle’.

The term ‘okkutsu’ (hassle) refers to a state of feeling reluctant or lazy about doing something. It originally comes from a Buddhist term meaning ‘an unimaginably long time,’ but over time, the nuance shifted to imply ‘something so tedious and time-consuming that it’s a chore.’

In other words, I want to minimize anything that feels like a chore.

Thoughts on the current trend of larger front bags

Front bags these days have a high capacity and are quite user-friendly.
Plus, they look awesome, which is the best part.

However, having to undo buckles every time makes accessing them a bit of a hassle.
It’s difficult to take things out while riding.
Some might say, ‘Why not just stop?’
SHUT UPPPP!!!!!!!!!
When I’m in the zone and enjoying a good ride, I don’t want to stop!

The Mega Bar Bag seems perfect for those moments

The recently released OUTER SHELL Mega Bar Bag is absolutely amazing, and it’s caught my eye.

First off, here is the part that really draws me in!!

There’s a pocket on the outside of the bag for small items.
I am seriously grateful for this...

I can keep my wallet or phone in there and grab them quickly when stopping at a convenience store.
It’s perfect.

Another great feature is the side pocket.
I love that I can just reach in and access my gear.

It fits the camera I use, so if it suddenly starts raining, I can quickly put it inside a plastic bag for protection.

Any product that lets you imagine using it before you even buy it is a good one.

Wait, no support rack needed?

Without a support rack, front bags can sometimes rub against the tire, and before you know it, there’s a hole in them...

But this one can be fixed just by using the stem, using only the included strap and drawcord.
This is truly innovative and it honestly blew me away.

Honestly, it’s a bit pricey, but when I consider the cost of buying a rack, a basket, and then a bag to put in it, I’d choose this one instead.

So, the color I wanted finally came in stock, and I bought it!!

I’m planning to take it on a long ride soon and write a review blog post, so stay tuned!
