【BEDROCK SANDALS】A new option: the Carin Evo C Pro

Barefoot, zero-drop, huaraches.
These have been the essential keywords when talking about outdoor sandals over the past few years.

Freeing the toes and not restricting movement.
By starting from a state close to barefoot, you draw out more natural movement and maximize your inherent potential.

While built on that philosophy, BEDROCK SANDALS' Cairn series is never overly stoic, but rather packaged in a way that fits many people.

Especially characteristic is the excellent strap system.
And there are flat and 3D footbeds, plus Vibram® XS Trek and MegaGrip outsoles.

Through those combinations,

...a foundation of four styles has been available to handle a variety of situations.

(By the way, "3D" refers to the contoured footbed, and "Pro" refers to models using the MegaGrip sole.)

The Arrival of the Cairn EVO C

Then, two years ago, the Cairn EVO C was added to the lineup.

The thick footbed made of EVA material provided cushioning that previous Cairns lacked, offering a soft and comfortable ride.

To be honest, I was a bit skeptical at first.
"Is cushioning really necessary for the Cairn, which is defined by that direct ground feel?"

However, once I actually wore them, I was immediately convinced.

Considering that these sandals are intended for more everyday use and a wider range of scenarios, this was undoubtedly the right move.

Come to think of it, even for brands based on barefoot or zero-drop principles like ALTRA or LEMS, there are varying levels of sole thickness.

In the same way, it makes sense for the Cairn to have a cushioned model.

I personally purchased the Cairn EVO C as soon as it was released and have been wearing it for these past two years.

From long hours standing on asphalt at events, to days walking around town, to casual running.

Before I knew it, it became a staple in my rotation, used just as often as my other Cairns.

In particular, for a relaxed, casual style, this volume is just right.

The hesitation I initially felt has completely vanished.

Introducing the New Cairn EVO C Pro!!!

And this season, the Cairn EVO C PRO has been added to the C model lineup.

It is a model that combines the cushioned footbed with a MegaGrip outsole.

XS Trek on the left, MegaGrip on the right. As you can see at a glance, XS Trek is black, while MegaGrip is gray.

This is something I’m personally very interested in.

Although I love the EVO C, I found it slightly lacking when riding a bicycle.

There were times when I wanted a bit more "pedaling response" when putting power into the pedals.

In that regard, the solid stiffness and grip of the MegaGrip should definitely resolve that dissatisfaction.

Furthermore,

  • High grip on wet surfaces
  • Ground contact that provides peace of mind on rocky or loose terrain

...this further expands the situations in which you can use them.

  • Those who find the direct feel of the Cairn EVO a bit tiring
  • Those who dislike the stiffness of the 3D model
  • Those who want to prioritize everyday use

For these people, this is undoubtedly the optimal choice.

Of course, even for those who are already wearing the Cairn series, I think many will notice its benefits the moment they switch over.

Above all, for those who spend long periods walking on asphalt and concrete, this model is quite reassuring.

Subway stairs on a rainy day, or wet floors.
In such everyday scenarios, your sense of security will definitely increase.

That is the new Cairn Evo C Pro for this year.

Available in 5 colors.
