【BEDROCK SANDALS】A Guide to Choosing Your Size

The Cairn 3D Pro Adventure Sandals, now in their second year, are the second pair of sandals from Bedrock with "Cairn" in the name that I’ve owned, following the Cairn Adventure Sandals. Although I haven't had much of a chance to get out to the mountains or rivers this year, I’ve been wearing them quite frequently since the beginning of April.

We are seeing many people becoming interested in BEDROCK SANDALS again this season, and at the shop, I often see customers excited about how they plan to use them. Of course, it depends on how you use them, but I currently believe there is nothing better than BEDROCK SANDALS for enjoying outdoor activities, so I highly encourage anyone who is hesitant to give them a try.

However, the hurdle when purchasing is sizing. If you can visit the store in person, you can try them on and choose the optimal size, but that isn't possible for everyone.

This time, for those who are thinking, "Alright! I'm going to buy them from the WEB SHOP," I would like to share the basics of how to choose your size.

First, please print out the size confirmation sheet template, which is also attached to the product page for each model in our WEB SHOP.

In reality, there are separate sheets for each size, so please first refer to the table below to choose the ones closest to your foot size.

【SIZE】

(Men 4 / Women 5) Length 22cm | Width 8.3cm

(Men 5 / Women 6) Length 23cm | Width 8.7cm

(Men 6 / Women 7) Length 24cm | Width 9.2cm

(Men 7 / Women 8) Length 25cm | Width 9.5cm

(Men 8 / Women 9) Length 26cm | Width 9.8cm

(Men 9 / Women 10) Length 27cm | Width 10.3cm

(Men 10 / Women 11) Length 28cm | Width 10.6cm

(Men 11 / Women 12) Length 29cm | Width 11.1cm

Also, when printing, please make sure to select A4 paper size and verify that the scale is set to 100%.

Next, use a ruler or similar tool to confirm that the dimensions printed on the sheet are correct.

Once you have confirmed the dimensions are accurate, try placing your foot on it. Please stand on it and put your full weight on your foot, rather than just sitting. Since your foot size changes slightly between sitting and standing, please be mindful of this.

When determining the fit, first check if your foot stays completely within the outline.

I personally wear a M9/W10, and this is what it looks like when I place my foot on the M9/W10 sheet.

This is what it looks like when I align my foot with the size below, the M8/W9 sheet.

And here is what it looks like when placed on the M10/W11.

To make it easier to compare, I have aligned the heels at the same position for all three.

The foot outline on these sheets is identical to the actual sandals, so if your foot hangs over the edges, it could lead to injury, such as scraping your feet on rocks while in use. Furthermore, the 3D molded footbed has edges that rise up slightly to cradle the foot, in addition to the raised area around the toe thong and the arch support. While this is designed to support the foot securely, if the sheet outline is too perfectly matched to your foot, your foot might sit on those raised edges, causing discomfort.

Of course, if there is too much extra room, you won't get a secure fit, and it could also cause you to snag the sole on something or trip.

Please start by trying this method for selecting your size. By the way, this is what the Cairn 3D Pro Adventure Sandals in size M9/W10 look like when I wear them.

That said, everyone's feet are different—some are wider, some have higher insteps. You might still be unsure even after trying this method. If that happens, feel free to send us an email with a photo of your foot on the template, and we’ll be happy to help you out, so please don't hesitate to contact us.
