During this time of year, my go-to style is exclusively shorts and sandals. My constant companion for this is BEDROCK SANDALS (hereafter, BEDROCK).
I’ve become completely hooked on their secure fit, sense of openness, and direct feel underfoot. I rotate between the Cairn PRO and Cairn EVO C, and I end up wearing them all through the seasons, except for winter.
I was actually thinking about adding the Cairn EVO 3D PRO to my collection next.

When I heard they were coming in, I’ll be honest—that thought crossed my mind.
I thought, "Aren't the current Cairns already comfortable enough? Isn't a regular pair of flip-flops fine?"
But once you open the box, the RockHound clearly carves out its own role as the "relaxation" sandal within the BEDROCK lineup. Now, it’s a product I can recommend with full confidence.

① Adjustable straps using the G-hook and loop system, familiar from the Cairn series.

They are overwhelmingly less tiring than typical flip-flops, making them perfect for walking around town.

With regular flip-flops, the only thing holding them on is the V-strap, and the footbed is flat, causing the feet to move around. That inevitably leads to pain between the toes.

Personally, I’d love for people to just wear this model casually around town.
To be honest, it’s not water-resistant, and you can’t exactly scrub dirt off it with a brush without a second thought.
However, the time and care you put into it will reward you with a unique character all your own. It's for those who can love that extra bit of maintenance.
