Every year, we received many requests for arm and leg covers that could be used in summer, but we struggled to find items we could confidently recommend. However, ASSOS has finally released new arm and leg covers that provide excellent protection for your skin against harsh summer sun and UV rays, while also being breathable enough for summer use!
Smooth and stress-free comfort
My first impression when touching the fabric was how incredibly smooth, light, and seamless it was. Personally, I don't like covers that fit too tightly against my skin, so I often rode without them, but these offer no uncomfortable constriction and no stress when bending or extending my arms or legs, making them perfect for long rides.
UV protection and pleasant breathability for summer
Thanks to the blend of polyamide and elastane, they are more breathable than the polyester often used in traditional warmers, so they feel nice and cool as the breeze passes through while riding.
They feature UPF 50+ UV protection, so they are effective against sunburn and UV radiation. Their versatility makes them great for activities other than cycling, such as running, walking, or driving, which is another reason I highly recommend them.

The first thing that caught my eye was the mesh textile fabric made from ultra-fine thread. It is structured to promote breathability, keeping the back of the hands cool and dry even in hot conditions.
Precisely calculated pad structure
The triangular pad on the palm hits the exact spot where there is usually a gap, allowing it to conform perfectly to the brake hoods. Additionally, the perforation in the center lets humidity escape from the palms.
While thin and lightweight overall, the use of synthetic leather provides sufficient durability, so I don't think they'll wear out anytime soon, making them a great long-term companion.
For me, with the start of a new season, I've switched my Seven / Kellcruis, which I used for racing, to 25c road tires to enjoy on-road riding. However, when running on thinner road tires, I found the road vibration more noticeable than when using thicker tires.
As physical fatigue builds up the longer you ride, the need for vibration-absorbing gloves increases, but if the padding is too thick, the feeling while dancing on the pedals is lacking.
