We have just received long-awaited new models from WTB, a brand that has long been popular for its staple saddles here at Circles. This new lineup includes three models: the Solano, the renewed Rocket, and the carbon-railed version of the Silverado. Each offers a unique ride quality and character, making them compelling choices tailored to different bike styles and rider needs.

As you ride longer distances, it becomes impossible to ignore how well a saddle suits you, yet many riders continue using the same saddle even as their riding style evolves. WTB saddles feature base structures and pad designs optimized for each specific model, delivering the comfort and support suited to your intended use.
The three newly arrived models are an attractive lineup designed specifically for different styles of riding, so let's take a look at the characteristics of each!
For Climbing and Technical Riding / New Rocket – Steel
The Rocket is a classic, well-regarded model for MTB and gravel riding. It has reappeared as a renewed model featuring the Fusion Form Base. Fans who have been waiting for this will not want to miss out.

WTB Rocket – Steel
Size: Medium / Width 145mm, Length 260mm
Rail: Steel
Base: Fusion Form
Weight: 366g
It adopts the same new Fusion Form Base found in the Devo – Pick Up saddle, optimizing the base structure for each model to elevate the balance of comfort, stiffness, and durability. By adjusting the nylon fiber content, the saddle provides the necessary "flex" to naturally accommodate pelvic movement during pedaling. The padding is integrated within the base, achieving both a sleek appearance and a comfortable seating experience.
It features thick padding and a shape that gently curves from nose to tail. The hidden rear slope provides solid support to keep you from sliding off during steep climbs, making it highly recommended for gravel bikes or trail MTBs where you do most of your riding while seated.

Flexible Support for Long Distances / Solano – Cromoly
The newly introduced Solano is a model that embodies WTB’s balance of comfort and performance.

WTB Solano – Cromoly
Size: Medium / Width 142mm, Length 240mm
Rail: Cromoly
Base: Fusion Form
Weight: 257g
It features ample padding placed under the sit bones, designed to keep fatigue at bay during long rides. The cromoly rail version offers excellent durability, making it a perfect match for touring bikes and all-road setups. Like the renewed Rocket, its Fusion Form Base structure provides the perfect amount of "flex" to naturally fit your pelvic movement while pedaling, supporting a comfortable ride.

Slim, Lightweight, and Ideal for Speed-Focused Riders / Silverado – Carbon
Finally, we have the Silverado, a very slim and lightweight racing model from WTB. While the Silverado has been in the lineup for a while, this is actually our first time receiving the carbon-railed version.

WTB Silverado Carbon
Size: Narrow / Width 135mm, Length 280mm
Rail: Carbon (7mm x 9mm)*
Weight: 176g
*Requires a seatpost compatible with carbon rails
Featuring thinner, firmer padding and a flat surface, it allows you to easily shift your position forward and back. While it doesn't use the Fusion Form Base, it combines two long-standing WTB structures—the "Flex-Tuned Shell" and "DNA Padding"—to achieve both structural integrity and flex, ensuring comfort even on long rides.

The carbon-railed version we've received is over 50g lighter than the standard cromoly rail version and offers superior vibration absorption. The carbon rails themselves provide a natural "flex" that helps soak up micro-vibrations from the road surface.

Furthermore, as WTB has announced that this model is being discontinued, this is the perfect time to get your hands on the Silverado Carbon if you are looking for "lightness" and "flex."
Tools to make the ride itself more comfortable and fun.
WTB saddles are not just parts for sitting; they are designed as the "contact point" that connects the rider's movements to the behavior of the bike.
At the core of this design philosophy is the Fusion Form Base structure used in the new models. By optimizing the shape and padding thickness for each model, they achieve ride quality matched to the intended application. From there, down to the selection of rail materials, everything is configured around the idea of "supporting your riding style," packing the comfort and functional beauty unique to WTB into every piece.

If you feel any discomfort with your current saddle, or if your riding style has changed, it might be the right time to reconsider your saddle. Whether you are a long-distance rider, a gravel enthusiast, or someone seeking weight savings, WTB has options suited to every way you ride.
If you're unsure which one is right for you, please don't hesitate to reach out. Let's find the perfect WTB saddle for your rides together.
