What’s going on?

Some of you may already be following him on Instagram after hearing he started an account, despite not even owning a cell phone until a short while ago. What he uploads to his feed are the one-of-a-kind Black Cat Bicycles that only TODD can create.

Here are two photos of bikes currently in production that were posted there the other day.

It appears these are for a new batch of production frames we requested.
A simple, exploration-style road racer that uses short-reach brakes and fits up to 28c tires. It's shaping up to be a bike that can take you anywhere with its great mobility. (Completely unrelated, but I turned 28 today.)

Each one will be painted by TODD from here on out, so stay tuned for the final result!

Also, thanks to all of you, the Disc Racers we introduced previously are gradually moving, and only 3 stock frames are left.

BlackCat Bicycles Science Olive Disc Racer(Seattube/C-T:53cm) ¥350,476(excl. tax)

Finished look

While most disc brake forks use tapered steerers, we chose Wound Up forks to match the steel frame, keeping the head tube oversized. With a PressFit BB providing a solid drivetrain, the bike is designed to cover everything from on-road riding to gravel, leveraging the stopping power of disc brakes.

With custom dropouts made specifically for this frame, and the entire process—from frame building to painting—done by Todd's own hands, it is an extremely classic approach compared to mass production. I believe it is that very accumulation of effort that makes you want to own and ride the hell out of a frame crafted by him.
