Hello! I'm Eri from the E-commerce and Photography team! After a mild start to the new year, it’s suddenly gotten cold. I find myself commuting while thinking, "Winter, you’re still serious about this, aren’t you?"
Whether you’re in the city, out for a ride, or enjoying winter activities, this is the time of year when you truly appreciate the benefits of merino wool products, so I’d like to introduce a few of them.
HIKER TRASH

The comfort when you slip your feet into these socks is incredibly pleasant. By using a special stretch yarn in the loosely knitted fabric, they provide a fit that feels like it’s gently wrapping your bare feet—thick, yet without any stiffness—and I guarantee you’ll be hooked. Since merino wool has natural odor-resistant properties, it's best to use it in areas where you’re concerned about smell.

The ruggedly built HIKER TRASH series, which Ryosuke "Iwashi" Kawado tested in real-world conditions while walking long trails in America, provides solid support for the feet of anyone who wants to enjoy outdoor activities regardless of the season.
HOUDINI W’s Desoli Mid Crew

Wearing cotton under layers in the winter feels a bit unreliable to me as I’ve gotten older.
Regardless of what I’m wearing, a merino wool base layer is an absolute must. This W’s Desoli Mid Crew is a bit long in the body, but tucking it into your pants gives you a sense of security, wrapping you in warmth all the way down to your hips. Another reassuring aspect of activewear like this is that you don’t have to worry about your back showing when you squat down.
The material has enough structure that it doesn’t cling too tightly to the body, making it a great design to wear on its own.
RAL Merino Neck Warmer

A neck warmer that might actually be warmer than a scarf. It features a muted color palette that we haven't seen before, which isn't too sporty, making it a perfect fit for any scene or outfit.
Yamatomichi DF Mesh Merino Long Sleeve

While Yamatomichi products are only available in-store, I’d like to introduce this base layer.
It is a long-sleeve mesh top that overcomes the traditional weaknesses of wool (difficulty drying, stickiness when wet, and heat retention). The dual-layer mesh construction provides high elasticity and ensures you don't get too hot even during high-intensity exercise. With its soft texture, it feels great against the skin as a base layer.

HOUDINI M’s Desoli Boxers

The biggest feature of merino wool is its deodorizing effect. Cotton is another fiber that has deodorizing properties like wool, but it is said to be ineffective against ammonia odors. Since wool is effective in that regard, it can be considered the ideal material for underwear. Because they aren't visible to others, it’s easy to hesitate to spend money on them, but they are highly durable and don't need to be replaced constantly, making them a sensible choice from an environmental standpoint as well.
Cold days are still ahead, but let’s take full advantage of the benefits of merino wool and go enjoy the outdoors to the fullest!
