[New Product Information] Take A Trip

A Bike Bag Brand from Bend, Oregon

As we’ll also be highlighting in our 1st-anniversary plans for Circles Tokyo—thanks to your support—we are excited to begin carrying Take A Trip, a bike bag brand based in Bend, Oregon!

The maker, Michael, has diverse cycling experience ranging from commuting and messenger work to touring and bikepacking. He actually entered this world originally wanting to get into frame building, but eventually found himself behind a sewing machine, leading to the launch of his own brand—a bit of an unconventional career path.

Custom frame bags on the All Packa exhibited by BIKE FRIDAY at MADE 2023.
The 2024 prototype e-bike features a To Go Box made to fit a WALD basket.
(We have ordered this as well, but due to material sourcing and other factors, this model is scheduled for a later arrival.)

We had been keeping an eye on this brand for a while—partly because they’ve used bold, cute patterned rugs for bags in the past, and partly because, sharing the same state of Oregon, BIKE FRIDAY has used their custom frame bags. In an industry that tends to prioritize simplicity and minimalism, Take A Trip stands out with its eye-catching pop colors and playful designs!

From this brand that proposes various carrying solutions while packing the functionality required for bike bags and the power to bring a smile to the rider, we’d like to introduce the items that have just arrived!

Bike Friday Framebag

First, these are the quintessential Take A Trip items!

The perfect frame bag for the All-Packa and Diamond Llama, which utilize truss structures.

Features include recycled fabric, waterproof zippers, and a design that fits the BIKE FRIDAY truss frame perfectly.

Due to the foldable frame structure, the down tube and bottom bracket are offset on both models. The webbing at the bottom of the bag is positioned to account for this offset, so that when attached, the bag sits centered on the bike, creating space to ensure the chainring doesn't interfere. This is a subtle yet impressive detail!

And for this delivery, we specially requested a custom variation using Pendleton fabric, also from Oregon!

A must-see item for those who ride an All-Packa or Diamond Llama.

Day Trip Framebag

A frame bag that attaches to the top tube and down tube using three Velcro straps. It's a perfect size for all types of riding, and the simple, single-compartment interior is refreshing.

Wouldn't this be the perfect spec for your first frame bag?

It can easily handle your携帯 tools and snacks.
I’ve used it myself, and besides snacks and a light, there was still plenty of room.

Since the angle of the triangle differs between the front and back of the frame bag, you can flip it over to fit various frame sizes.
It comes with Velcro straps, but using VOILE STRAPS to secure it is also a great option.

Snack Pack

A snack pack that attaches to your stem or handlebars with Velcro.
Taking things out with one hand while riding takes quite a bit of experience and courage, doesn't it...

This bag is designed for quick, one-handed opening and closing. You just need to pull the cord, making it much easier to access the contents than a zippered bag.

It features a mesh pocket for a smartphone on the front, a drain hole on the bottom, and enough space to fit a 32oz NALGENE Tritan bottle, which is quite large for this type of bag. It's a bag packed with features that can be used for everything from daily rides to weekend excursions.

Seat Roll-Up

A simple saddlebag designed to hold your essentials.

With enough size to comfortably store a 29” tube, multi-tool, tire levers, CO2, etc., it's perfect for your gear. The shock cord on the back is ideal for securing gloves or packable clothing.

It's also rare for the roll-top buckle to be magnetic.

My Little Bungee

This is a hidden hit from Take A Trip. It’s called the My Little Bungee.

Whether you hook it to a basket to use as a net, use it to hold your pant legs, use it like a rubber band to close an open snack bag, or bundle cables, this is a multi-purpose bungee strap with endless uses limited only by your imagination.

Thanks to Michael's stylish touch, the heat-shrink tubing used to form the loop at the end of the cord features the Circles logo.

We have them in two lengths, 10 inches (approx. 25 cm) and 20 inches (approx. 50 cm), so choose according to your needs. This is definitely something handy to have.
