We are so pleased to see how many of you have purchased second and third pairs in different colors of the TABBY, our popular tabi-style (split-toe) socks featuring merino wool as the main fabric for its high functionality and soft comfort. We’ve received many requests asking, “What’s the next Tabby?”, and we are finally excited to introduce them to you now.
The TABBY, released in winter, featured a pile knit from the toe to the sole and heel, providing high moisture absorption and excellent heat retention. However, this can lead to feeling too hot or stuffy inside your shoes during the warmer seasons. Of course, while the pile knit provides essential cushioning when climbing high-altitude mountains or running long distances, a thinner type is incredibly useful when considering a variety of situations in everyday life.
The two models now added to the lineup, TABBY Light and TABBY Cool, are perfect for this time of year and are designed to be worn not only with sneakers and cycling shoes, but also with sandals like Bedrock Sandals.

Like our previous JACOB model, TABBY Light uses merino wool as the main fabric while ensuring comfort during hot weather. The top of the foot is knitted with mesh to enhance breathability. Additionally, to improve durability, a reinforcing thread is blended into areas subject to high stress, specifically from the toes to the ball of the foot and the heel. Because of this, the band wrapping from the ball of the foot across the instep uses a plain knit rather than mesh.

TABBY Cool is a model that utilizes CoolMax®️ Cotton to provide breathability and quick-drying properties. Despite its high cotton content, it offers excellent moisture absorption, breathability, and quick-drying capabilities, allowing you to enjoy a fresh feeling even in this season. Of course, this model also features a mesh knit on the instep, with reinforcing thread blended only into the toes and heel. By the way, CoolMax®️ has functions to quickly wick sweat away and release it to the outside, while also maintaining a layer of air inside the fibers while dry, making it warm enough to use even in winter.
Both models hit right around the ankle. Honestly, while I might hesitate to use them in the dead of winter, they are great for three-season wear: spring, summer, and autumn.
I’m already wearing both models myself, and they’ve become indispensable this time of year. I really hope many of you will enjoy using them as well.
