Surly's "Disc Trucker" is, as you might know, a disc brake-equipped version of the "Long Haul Trucker." Since the Long Haul Trucker frame was designed for touring, both models are bikes that can be fitted with front and rear racks and taken on a long-distance tour right away.
With stable handling even when loaded with heavy gear, and a geometry that keeps you relaxed during long rides, I think these are incredibly versatile bikes that can handle everything from daily use to dirt touring. They are generally available with 26-inch wheels, but it’s worth noting that they are also offered in 700c sizes for larger frames, ensuring a perfect fit for everyone from petite women to taller riders. (Surly making this the standard is exactly why they are such a lovable brand.)
Whether to choose the Disc or the Long depends on the rider's intended use, whether they prioritize braking power, or if they want to utilize parts they already have. Today, I’d like to introduce two bikes, each built with distinctive characteristics.

It’s a 26-inch frame, but we took advantage of the clearance to insert 650B wheels. This is an assembly only possible because of the disc brakes.
SimWorks' Smile Bar and MTB-style components were installed, resulting in a true ALL TERRAIN bike that’s fun for daily commuting, but even more fun to ride on dirt or take on weekend tours!
The paint, done by Kyutai Paint, looks like the stock maroon color at first glance, but it has actually been repainted in a beautiful custom color.
