【SON Dynamo Hub】 I want to keep it neatly tucked away.

What are we talking about?
We're talking about hub dynamo lights.

Hub dynamos and dynamo lights are the ultimate gear, generating power inside the hub to supply electricity and eliminating the need for battery changes or recharging.

The only downside is that because the power supply is wired, those flimsy wires can be quite an eyesore. Some hub dynamo connection points even use two terminals, which just doesn't look very elegant.

I’ve positioned them extremely for illustration, but there are two wires sticking out.

These wires must be disconnected every time you remove the wheel—whether for a flat repair or packing the bike for travel—which is undeniably a hassle. And, after being disconnected and reconnected repeatedly, the wires start to fray and fall apart.

1. With the cover on
2. With the cover off

As you can see in the photos above, even with the cover on in photo ①, you can see the copper wire inside, and with the cover removed in photo ②, you can see that several strands of wire have snapped.

Naturally, this ruins both the appearance and the functionality of the electrical connection. This is where this product comes in to save the day!!

【SON NABENDYNAMO】Coaxial Adapter

Price: 5,060 yen (tax included)

Using this item will make things look fresh and neat.
It's also an excellent upgrade that makes connecting and disconnecting a breeze.

The insulation has been shifted for demonstration purposes.

Plus, it consolidates those two separate wires into a single terminal, which is much more convenient.

However, while it makes daily use easier, the installation is a bit tedious.

First, remove the terminals
Solder the components
Combine both wires into one terminal

I imagine most of us haven't done much soldering since we grew up, but it comes in handy here.

With this, you can say goodbye to the frustration of your lights not working because a wire snapped while traveling.

They say the devil is in the details, and I can guarantee that focusing on the fine details will make your bike look all the more beautiful.

In addition to the coaxial adapter, we have restocked various SON dynamo lights and hub dynamos, so if you've been considering upgrading to a hub dynamo system, please don't hesitate to consult us.
