The first thing that catches your eye is the Peanut Butter sidewall, the same as the existing Volummy Tire model.
It is built to reduce the risk of cutting the tire side when riding over rocky or rough terrain.
"Just make the sidewalls stronger, whatever it takes." The Super Yummy features the kind of rugged sidewalls you can only expect from SimWorks, honestly responding to this request from reliable sources (big-time tourers in the U.S.).
The dense, small knobs are laid out in an all-around pattern—lower in the center and slightly taller on the sides—creating a tire that provides solid traction on climbs while rolling easily, and delivers a reassuring, addictive ground contact feel even when leaning the bike hard into corners on descents.
I’ve already ridden it over all sorts of unpaved roads, and the point is not only the confidence it gives you, but also its smooth rolling performance that doesn't feel sluggish even on pavement.
With the tread design, compound, and casing all perfectly balanced, this is a tire with no blind spots—offering high-quality ride feel alongside excellent durability. Of course, it is also tubeless-ready.
Since there are so few tires with a 27.5×2.22″ dimension—wider than the "Road Plus" standard but with a lower-profile tread than mountain bike tires—if you have a bike that can clear this size, such as the Doppo ATB, a monster cross, or a dirt touring bike, this is definitely a tire you should try.
And, our familiar Volummy Tire now has a 27.5×1.9 size addition!
Coming in at 48mm, it’s just a hair wider than the now-standard Road Plus size, providing an exquisite fit—and of course, the sidewalls are nice and strong. This new size was born from listening to those requests coming in from the West Coast.
