As some of you may already know, SHIMANO has released a new component group called CUES.
Designed for a wide range of uses, from city commuting to casual sports riding, and also taking into account the increasing popularity of E-Bikes, this CUES series offers high durability and comfortable shifting.
For those not accustomed to sports bikes, the comfortable, intuitive operation ensures that you aren't distracted by the hassle of shifting gears, allowing you to focus on other things while riding—like enjoying the scenery or having a conversation. Above all, it is an unsung hero of a component group, offered at an accessible price point.
CUES is divided into grades: the 8000 series (11-speed), 6000 series (10/11-speed), and 4000 series (9-speed). It offers a wide variety of combinations, including the option to choose between double and single chainrings, which is a welcome feature that allows you to set up your gears exactly to your liking.
In particular, thanks to the adoption of a new technology called LINKGLIDE, you get not only smooth shifting without shift shock, but also increased durability for the cassette sprocket, which is prone to high loads on E-Bikes. The extended lifespan before wear-related chain skip is a welcome feature for those who ride hard every day.
