Overseas, builders in every region are busy getting ready for NAHBS 2016, which is finally just next week. Tony Pereira and Ira Ryan, the builders behind BreadWinner Cycles, are also keeping their hands moving every day.
This year, they are setting up one of the larger booths at the venue and planning to exhibit 10 bikes; you can really feel their enthusiasm for the show. Actually, a special show bike project with SimWorks and Circles is also in the works, so stay tuned.

Now, getting a bit personal, if I were asked, "Which model would you choose from the BreadWinner Cycles lineup?", I would answer, the Continental.
As the name suggests, this bike was created for the Rapha Continental Ride—a ride that teaches the essential truth that riding is an adventure, which is the very root of road cycling. It is also the bike that triggered the two of them to hoist the flag of BreadWinner Cycles. (Applications for the next Rapha Prestige in Japan have already begun!)
The frame, which accommodates long-reach calipers, is equipped with fender eyelets, making for a comfortable and capable ride even on rainy days. Furthermore, it swallows tires up to 30c, demonstrating its full power on gravel as well. For brakes, we used VeloOrange long-reach calipers.
And, to ride in pursuit of gravel without fear of trouble, it’s nice to have a handy tool like a frame pump. We took the Silca Impero Ultimate Frame Pump—the ultimate frame pump, as the name implies—and had it custom-painted to match the frame. Being able to select such options during the ordering phase is a unique proposition from BreadWinner.

With NAHBS 2016 finally arriving next week, Shige, Taka, and Jas from Circles are heading over to learn. Above all, it is a rare opportunity to meet and talk with the makers in person, so we hope to soak up as much as we can. Please rest assured that Circles will be operating as usual while we are in the US! Additionally, as the Aribar staff will be joining us, Earlybirds will be closed from 2/26 to 3/4. We apologize for any inconvenience, and appreciate your understanding.
