With so many races and events this past weekend, I’m sure many of you were glued to the weather forecast before heading out for a ride. Our CRC members also seem to have enjoyed some racing, participating in the Uchinada Road Race in Ishikawa Prefecture and the Hirata Criterium in Gifu. (Congratulations on the win, Otchy!)
Among those CRC members, one certain person who rode the recent RGR with us—and whose own inner wheels have surely started spinning in a big way—has just gotten a new bike.
This is a “Twin” model from Retrotec Cycles, built by Curtis Inglis with its signature dual parallel top tubes. At first glance, it might seem delicate, but once you build it up and actually ride it, you realize it’s a frame with a real core—dynamic and incredibly responsive.
There are countless big fans of Retrotec in California who already know this.
I’m sure there are plenty of cyclists in Japan who have realized just how good his frames are, too.

It was put to the test in today’s race, though unfortunately, there was a flat tire issue.
Regardless, we have high hopes for its performance in future races!
Also, around the same time, we finished building up a custom complete bike at Circles using a Retrotec stock frame, so I’d like to introduce that to you as well.

Special Price:¥380,000(excl. tax)

The price is a surprise, but naturally, the frame—meticulously crafted by the hands of Curtis Inglis—has been built up with a selection of parts chosen for long rides and long-term reliability.
The beauty of the unique curved top tube style, paired with a ride quality so smooth it’s hard to imagine from its appearance, is something you’ll feel from the moment you get on it. It’s currently on display in the shop, so come by soon if you’re interested!
