The Ramble Bar by SimWorks by NITTO, released last December, is back in stock!
This highly anticipated new handlebar sold out quickly during its initial launch due to limited stock, but we have plenty now, so I’d like to introduce it to you once again.

A Handlebar Created by Kevin, Owner of the Renowned Portland Shop GOLDEN PLIERS
Portland, Oregon, where SimWorksUSA is based, is home to a wide variety of bike shops. Among them, GOLDEN PLIERS stands out as a truly unique shop that has built its own distinctive community.

This is Kevin, the shop's owner. We have been working with him since he was a SimWorks dealer at the shop he worked at before opening GOLDEN PLIERS, and his unique sensibility has been evident since those days.
Living in Portland—one of America's most bike-friendly towns—he excels not only at commuter-style builds but also at assembling bikes with fenders, a necessity given the rainy climate. He is also skilled at proposing fun, versatile bikes tailored to the local riding style, which involves not just city streets but endless opportunities for on-road, gravel, and single-track riding just a short trip away.

The Concept: Turbo Cruising
This bar was born from Kevin’s idea to create a handlebar that could comfortably carry a large bar bag while offering a large sweep angle for an aggressive yet comfortable ride. With a width of 710mm and a 160mm grip zone, it provides plenty of hand placement options—including the hook section in front of the grips—allowing you to change your posture during your ride.

Kevin wraps the hook sections with bar tape. When you're cruising comfortably on a flat stretch, grabbing this section puts you in a slightly forward-leaning position. He calls this "turbo cruising"—a fitting term for riding across the rolling Oregon wilderness—but I’m certain it would feel just as great holding these hooks while riding along flat riverside paths in Japan.
Since the bars can be flipped, you can also mount them pointing downward if you want a more aggressive riding experience.

How Would You Assemble It?
As Kevin suggests, the best way to use these is to treat the hook section as a grip zone, making them multi-position bars. They are also excellent as relaxed bars, and it’s also fun to flip them for a more aggressive build.
Thanks to the long center section, they accommodate a variety of handlebar bags well. If you’re planning on using a handlebar bag, please come by the store and try gripping them for yourself.
