The season for Tabby, a massive hit here at RAL, is almost upon us.

You’ve likely been getting plenty of use out of your BEDROCK SANDALS this summer.

Are you hooked on that comfort and sense of freedom? Surely you aren’t done enjoying them yet, are you?

While it feels great to wear your BEDROCKs barefoot, I recommend the RAL Tabby Socks as it starts to get a little chilly.

The season for sandals (freedom) isn’t over yet.

RAL Tabby is designed specifically for compatibility with BEDROCK SANDALS.

We didn't want to compromise the free-feeling comfort of BEDROCKs, so the overall tension is kept loose.

They don’t constrict, and we prioritize a comfortable fit.

Also, there is plush pile padding right where the heel strap hits for extra comfort and a design that makes them resistant to tearing.

Great for shoes, too

That said, Tabby isn’t just for sandals.

They are also designed to pair well with regular shoes.

For example, they look great with boots.

Since the shaft is designed to be longer than standard sports socks, they maintain a good balance even with high-cut boots.

They also balance well with sneakers and leather shoes.

Designed to resist odor

They look great as part of an outfit, but what we really want you to experience is the functionality of the RAL Tabby.

Because they are primarily aimed at activities centered around cycling, ensuring high functionality was our primary development goal. These socks use 55% merino wool.

Since we are using merino wool, we wanted to minimize synthetic fibers to really feel the performance of the natural material.

With that in mind, we settled on a blend of 30% cotton along with the wool, 10% nylon for strength, and 5% polyurethane for stretch. By drastically reducing the amount of synthetic fiber, we focused on a blend that delivers the touch of natural materials while still showcasing the performance of merino wool.

Polyester is the gold standard for quick-drying materials, boasting top-tier performance due to the capillary action of its fibers. However, its one major drawback is that it absorbs "odor"—something humans are physiologically repulsed by. While some polyester fabrics or yarns come with "anti-odor" finishes, these are just applied coatings that gradually lose their effectiveness with use and washing.

Natural fibers, especially wool, have natural odor-resistant properties.

When polyester is included, odor problems are inevitably part of the equation, so this time we made wool and cotton the stars, and only relied on synthetic fibers for the absolutely necessary features (strength and stretch).

They are designed to resist odor, so they feel great even when paired with regular shoes.
