The EirlyBirds owner's bicycle.
"Make sure it's running well," the owner said as he headed out.
Left behind, just me and the bicycle waiting for its master.
"Alright, leave it to me!!"
Hmm, but what should I do?
"Running well" is pretty vague.
Since I can't quite settle on a plan, I'll start by taking it for a test ride.
...The handlebars are pretty high.
So, I went ahead and swapped the handlebars and lowered the position.
I installed Hunter Cycles' Flat Sweeper and SimWorks' Rhonda.
I think this combination is a winner in terms of both looks and performance.
Easy-to-grip handlebars with a bow-like bend: Hunter Cycles SmoothMove/Flat Sweeper¥8,800- (plus tax)
A stem that matches MTBs and holds firmly with a four-bolt clamp: SimWorks Rhonda¥9,200- (plus tax)
The handlebars that were too high are now in the perfect position.
With this, the owner, who has been getting into mountain biking lately, should be satisfied.
Ask him about the results yourself when you're at Eirly.
Even a slight change in position can really transform the ride of a bicycle.
