We still have plenty of rainy day items in stock!

I suppose it was rather short-sighted of me to think last week that the rainy season might never arrive.
The rainy season has been officially declared moving in from the west, and it seems it has reached the Tokai region as of today.

With that said, rainy day gear has been featured quite often in our recent staff recommendations.
We still have plenty more items we’d like to introduce, so be sure to check them out!

GoreBikeWear
UniversalCity Overshoes ¥11,000 (excl. tax)
Black

GoreBikeWear
UniversalCity Overshoes ¥11,000 (excl. tax)
NeonYellow

Shoe covers that use a GORE-TEX membrane, so reliable they’d stop a crying child in their tracks.
This model is designed to match mountain bike clipless shoes.
Between commuting to work or school and touring, there are countless situations where you don't want your shoes to get wet.
These will keep your shoes well protected from the rain.

While they are intended for mountain bikes, you can wear them with road shoes or even standard shoes, provided you don't plan on doing much walking.
If you walk too much, the rubber on the sole will wear out.

GoreBikeWear
Universal GORE-TEX Socks ¥6,500 (excl. tax)

If you're thinking about keeping your feet dry at all costs, these socks are also excellent.
They were well-received as a cold-weather option during winter, but they are also perfect for rainy days!

GoreBikeWear
Universal HelmetCover ¥6,500 (excl. tax)
I feel like there are quite a lot more people wearing helmets for commuting to work or school than there were a few years ago.
For those people, I recommend this helmet cover.
Like the two models mentioned above, this item uses a GORE-TEX membrane.
Sometimes it can be difficult to use the hood of a rain jacket while wearing a helmet.
With this, you can wear it without any stress, and checking behind you is no problem at all!

Next up is this.
Swiss brand ASSOS, a cycle wear manufacturer popular for its high performance, also offers a lineup of convenient items for those who head out for serious rides even in harsh weather like rain.

ASSOS
Rain Cap S7 ¥5,200 (excl. tax)
More stylish than a helmet cover and suitable for harder rides.
The small brim helps reduce the amount of rain that obscures your vision.

ASSOS
Rain Gloves S7 ¥7,800 (excl. tax)
These are standard waterproof neoprene gloves.
The seams aren't taped, so water will eventually seep in, but that’s just part of the charm.
They are soft, easy to grip, and the palms are coated so they remain non-slip even when wet.

ASSOS
Rain Bootie S7 ¥11,000 (excl. tax)
This item is recommended for stoic road racers who ride even on rainy days.
They should also work great as shoe covers in early winter.

ASSOS
rS.sturmPrinz EVO ¥48,600 (excl. tax)

An ultra-high-performance piece of apparel that is rumored to have taken ASSOS thousands of hours to develop.
The specs are a 17,000mm water column, 19,500g/m2/24h breathability, and a weight of 163g. That might sound like gibberish, but basically, it means it has an incredibly high level of the waterproofing and breathability required for rainwear. Of course, it’s light and can be packed away compactly when you take it off.

It’s recommended not only as a rain jacket but also as a shell for winter riding!

We have plenty more items in stock, but I’ll leave it at this for now.
Well then everyone, let's enjoy our rainy rides!
