We are less than two weeks away from the Gourmet Century Ride Asuke.
For cyclists, while the route and the food served on the day are certainly top priorities, there is no doubt that the bikes themselves are also a major point of interest.
For the Gourmet Century Ride Asuke (hereafter GCR Asuke), cyclists will be coming together from all over to seek out new encounters, but the highlight among our guests this time is the American frame builders and their colleagues.
That’s right—an incredible lineup of members will be visiting Japan!
We felt that such a luxurious experience is rare, so we have arranged this opportunity in our own way.

The official name is PERSONAL BIKE SHOW, or PBS for short.
The builders and cyclists visiting us will bring the bikes they actually use in their daily rides across California and Oregon to the Gourmet Century in Japan, and they are excited to enjoy the day alongside our Japanese participants. Seeing this illustrious group, the idea for hosting this PBS naturally came to mind.
At PBS, frame builders will display the very bikes they built for themselves and use in their daily lives. It will be a near-miraculous moment where you can ask these builders any and all questions you might have directly.
Listed below are the participants confirmed for participation in GCR Asuke and the bike exhibition at PBS.

Summary : This is a small, pre-party style bicycle show leading up to the Gourmet Century Asuke. Frame builders from California and Oregon—as well as those from the Tokai region and renowned cyclists you might otherwise only see on a screen—will be displaying the actual bikes they use every day. We will spend a meaningful time together, and they will be on hand to provide direct answers and solutions to any questions you may have.

Additionally, the Gourmet Century’s main chef Chris Dimino and support chef Nick Demarest, using unique ingredients brought from Portland and California, will join the owner of Early Birds to satisfy your hunger. Mitts Coffee Stand, who will also be providing coffee on the day of the Gourmet Century, will be setting up a pop-up coffee stand for the event as well.
Although it is mid-week, we sincerely look forward to welcoming many of you play-loving folks there!
