The PATAGONIA M’s Dirt Roamer Storm Jacket is a 3-layer jacket developed for mountain biking and touring, featuring complete waterproof protection.
H2No Performance Standard waterproof/breathable shell fabric
At the core of the fabric is Patagonia’s signature high-performance H2No Performance Standard membrane, providing excellent waterproof, breathable, and stretchy properties. The outer shell, exposed to the elements, uses environmentally friendly recycled materials. Furthermore, the forearms, shoulders, and drop-tail hem are reinforced with highly abrasion-resistant fabric. A soft, moisture-wicking knit backer bonded to the membrane eliminates any clammy feeling against the skin.
Side ventilation zippers and 3/4-length front zipper
Side ventilation zippers efficiently release heat and sweat during your ride. The 3/4-length two-way front zipper helps reduce bulk around the waist and can be opened from the bottom to further promote the venting of accumulated heat from inside the jacket. Because the zipper stops lower than the chest, you can take the jacket on and off without removing your helmet.
Helmet-compatible hood
The hood, adjustable with a single pull so as not to obstruct your view, can be fitted while wearing a helmet. It can also be compactly stowed in the collar when not in use.
Back pocket

This PATAGONIA M’s Dirt Roamer Storm Jacket functions as both a rain jacket and a windbreaker, can be worn continuously during high-exertion activity, and is highly portable. Having been looking for a versatile jacket that could serve many purposes, I fell in love with its look, which matches everything from cycling jerseys to casual wear, and decided to purchase it.
During my ride the other day, it was a great help as a windbreaker in the cold morning and during the long, long descent from the mountain pass, but I have yet to fully tap into its true potential.
I am sure it will prove its worth during the tough rides in the coming season. My expectations are growing ever higher.
