Just when you think a stretch of mild weather is here to stay, temperatures suddenly drop or it starts to rain—the beginning of spring is always unpredictable. Occasionally, we even get blasted by gusts known as "spring storms." On a trail ride the other day, I thought it was a warm day, only to be hit by a sudden flurry of snow.
And just like those gusts of wind, a new collection from Patagonia has arrived all at once.
This season, the mountain bike category features a more robust lineup than ever before, showing a new side of Patagonia. Today, I’d like to introduce these new arrivals, which—much like a spring storm—look like they’ll disappear from our shelves in a flash.

M’s Houdini Snap-T P/O

A lightweight, easy-to-throw-on wind jacket
The Snap-T Pullover, made from ripstop recycled nylon, is an incredibly lightweight pullover-style wind jacket. Not only does it block the wind, but thanks to its DWR (durable water repellent) finish, it also keeps you protected during sudden light rain. The snap buttons at the neck are useful not only for taking it on and off but also for quick temperature regulation when needed.
It features two pockets: one on the left chest and two at the front. The left chest pocket contains a smaller inner pocket; you can stow the entire jacket inside it, compressing it down to about the size of a smartphone, making it very convenient to carry around. It’s a highly valuable piece to have during this time of rapid weather changes.
By the way, as it is available starting from size XXS, it can be worn by women despite being a men’s model.

Performance wear with a cotton-like feel
The Nine Trails Bike Jersey is made from 100% polyester fabric, yet it has the soft feel of cotton. It is high-performance apparel that offers excellent moisture-wicking and quick-drying capabilities. It also features a permanent odor-control finish, preventing the unpleasant smells that can often accumulate in polyester garments. The hem is slightly longer in the back, and there is a small pocket on the right hip, making it a perfect piece of cycling gear.
Since these items disappeared from our shop in the blink of an eye last season, I’m sure some of you thought about buying one only to find it was already too late. Actually, I was one of those people. Beyond the functionality, 3/4 sleeves are incredibly versatile items from spring through summer. This season, they come in two colors: Black and Carbon. We have also received the women’s model with a different silhouette.

Just like the Nine Trails Bike Jersey, the Capilene Cool Trail Bike Henley features a slightly longer back hem and a back pocket, making it a new bike-specific item for this season. The moisture-wicking, quick-drying fabric has a soft touch, keeping you comfortable even during the sweaty mid-summer months.
The henley neck is convenient when you need to quickly regulate your temperature. The inside of the hem is also equipped with a microfiber cloth for cleaning sunglass lenses dirty from dust or sweat.
In addition, just like last year, we have the short-sleeve crew neck Capilene Cool Trail Shirt (formerly the Nine Trails Shirt) and other new arrivals in stock. Patagonia’s lineup this season is richer than ever, and every piece is designed to fit seamlessly into our daily lives.
