It feels like the new year just started, and already we're in February.
In just two months, spring will be here.
Personally, I think spring is the most pleasant season for cycling. Before that spring arrives, you’ll want to perform some maintenance on your bike so you can enjoy riding it comfortably.
That is why Circles is holding an overhaul campaign this February!!
Unlike cars, there are no legal requirements for periodic inspections or vehicle checks for bicycles. It is entirely up to you to maintain them voluntarily.
At Circles, we carry many steel frames that are durable and meant to be ridden for a long time, but with steel frames, there is the concern of rust, so we recommend an overhaul once every 1–2 years (of course, we recommend the same interval for frames made of other materials as well).
If you've "never taken your bike in for maintenance since you bought it," if you've "noticed your shifting has felt off lately," or if you "hear strange noises while riding," you might be due for an overhaul—or sometimes we can fix things right on the spot.
In any case, continuing to ride as is could lead to irreversible damage that forces you to replace parts, so please reach out and consult with us first!
For this overhaul campaign, we have also prepared the following special menu.
Overhaul Campaign Details
- Glass-based coating option
- 15% off SimWorks products when replacing them during your overhaul
- Turn your bike into a cargo bike along with your overhaul! / CRUST Cargo Fork x Wheel Package
What is an overhaul?

"Overhaul" means to:
- Inspect thoroughly
- Review
- Disassemble and repair
This term is essentially used for the act of taking apart mechanical items—like bicycles, cameras, or watches—entirely, inspecting them, and then reassembling and repairing them.

Just as the word suggests, at Circles, during an overhaul, we remove every component of the bicycle to check even the internal condition that can't be seen from the outside.
Additionally, for steel frames, we clean the inside of the frame and apply anti-rust treatment. Especially if you commute by bike every day, water can get inside and cause rust to progress without you knowing, so we take care of that during an overhaul.
And we don't just take it apart, check it, and put it back together. We assess your riding style, usage habits, and storage conditions based on the wear and rust on the parts, and perform the appropriate procedures and select the right components.

Beyond the tires, drivetrain, and brake consumables we often replace during an overhaul, this is also the perfect opportunity to change your bike's style or riding posture. If you’ve been thinking about swapping out parts like handlebars or saddles, please consider taking advantage of this campaign!
Overhaul labor: 35,000 JPY (Family price for bikes purchased at Circles: 21,000 JPY)
Work scope: We perform a full inspection, strip the bike down, thoroughly service components like the gears and hubs as much as possible, reassemble while checking and greasing all parts, install new cables, and ensure the bike is tuned for a comfortable ride.
※Includes brake and shift cable replacement (additional costs apply for hydraulic brakes).
※Consumables that require replacement, such as tires, chains, and brake pads, are charged separately.
Detailed Campaign Information
1. Glass-based coating option (plus 5,000 JPY)

If you own a car, you might have heard of this before.
A glass-based coating is a type commonly used on cars; it provides excellent shine and gloss, and the coating is highly weather-resistant and heat-resistant. Since it is resistant to oxidation and deterioration, it is long-lasting and provides high water repellency. In short, it makes it harder for dirt and grime to stick, even on rainy days!

For this campaign, we are offering glass-based coating as a special option. Why not add an extra layer of shine to your freshly cleaned bike?
Because this option is limited by time and the chemicals available, it is limited to the first 5 bikes.
2. 15% off SimWorks products when replacing them during your overhaul

If you're going through the trouble of an overhaul, it’s highly recommended if you want to replace parts you've been curious about and start fresh!
All SimWorks products are eligible this time!
Whether it's handlebars, stems, seatposts, or tires, you'll get 15% off any SimWorks products you choose to replace during your overhaul.
The recently released To Smile Bar and Wonderer Bar are also included!
If you're currently on drop bars but want to take this opportunity to switch to flat bars for a more relaxed ride, why not take advantage of this campaign?
3. Turn your bike into a cargo bike along with your overhaul! / CRUST Cargo Fork x Wheel Package

When you want to give a bit more carrying capacity to an old MTB gathering dust in your family's storage shed, or a bike you’ve ridden for a long time, to make it more practical, that is exactly when the CRUST / Clydesdale Cargo Fork comes into play.
Using this fork will instantly transform your bike into a great vehicle for your daily shopping and errands!
For this campaign, if you decide to install a cargo fork along with your overhaul, we will offer 15% off the wheel price when you choose a VELOCITY rim for the required front wheel!

For example,
VELOCITY Dyad x VELOCITY ATB Disc Front Hub x SIMWORKS Condor Spokes StraightGauge
would normally be 27,390 JPY (tax included), but for this time only, we are offering it for 23,281 JPY (tax included)!
Campaign Period
[Acceptance Period] Feb 6 (Tue) – Feb 18 (Sun)
[Lead time] 10-14 business days (limited to cases where there are no backordered items or shipping times are short)
For those bringing in a bike for an overhaul, we would appreciate it if you could book an appointment via our store visit booking page so we can assist you smoothly.
