Yesterday, I went on our customary New Year's ride with the staff and members of the CRC.
Between the snow from the previous night and the steady snowfall in the mountains that day, it turned into an unexpected ride through the snow.
Even while chatting with friends and shivering from the cold, your body naturally starts to warm up once you climb the mountain passes.
The lady at the teahouse we stopped at was surprised we would ride our bikes up there on a day like that, but it was a great start to the New Year to realize how happy I am to have friends who enjoy cycling even in the dead of winter.
This year as well, I hope to prioritize safety and health, and continue to enjoy cycling life together with all of you, while also enriching our lives beyond just cycling.
