The parade run where humming girls sway while sometimes running and sometimes not is like a midsummer mirage.
A Lazy Parade by artist WASHIO TOMOYUKI, who created the masterpiece "LAND of OURS" on the large shutter of the SimWorks office, has begun.
These seemingly happy yet somehow melancholy girls, radiating a feverish warmth, were brought to life by Nagoya-based artist Tomoyuki Washio. Much like yoshi47, who works on the T.A.F.U. series, his activities have spread worldwide, with remarkable achievements including exhibitions at the 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, Kanazawa and the Yinchuan Contemporary Art Museum in China.
His archive of work, discussed through keywords such as GOTH-TRAD, DJ BAKU’s KAIKOO, Kiyoshi Awazu, Fela Kuti, THA BLUE HERB, the National Confectionery Exposition, the Hashinoshita World Music Festival, and Te-kun, is also highly interdisciplinary. In fact, the reason BOSS from THA BLUE HERB has visited Early Birds so many times is because he was the one who brought him here. (Though, whenever BOSS comes, I’m somehow always away due to events...)
The self-introductory "Washio Design Newspaper" he created is well worth reading. It has surpassed the realm of a newspaper. We have a few copies at Circles, so if you're interested, please feel free to ask.

The girls drawn on this refreshing blue bottle exude an indescribable sense of relaxed ease, creating a perfect item to help cool us down when we feel like we might lose to the heat. Please enjoy it as your companion this summer.
