The rainy season arrived much earlier this year than usual. I had been planning to stretch my legs and go for a long ride since the weather finally warmed up, but I ended up taking a quick ride nearby instead. The light rain felt just like a mist, which was quite pleasant while riding.
As people start riding more often, we receive many inquiries about helmets in the shop. Recently, we’ve started carrying a new brand from Taiwan called KPLUS, which features an Asian-fit shape designed for comfortable wear even for us Japanese riders—as mentioned in Yanase-san's blog post—and now, the Special Edition colors for the NOVA model have arrived!
Introducing new earthy colors that blend in with nature
New to the lineup are Sand Beige and Midnight Green, both of which feature military-inspired colors with an elegant finish.
With their beautiful, natural tones, they are perfect not just for rides, but also for those who want to use them for commuting or daily errands.

Size S is a perfect fit!
As someone who loves green, I chose Midnight Green without hesitation. My head circumference is 56cm, so the S (53-56cm) size was an absolutely perfect fit. The form and feel when wearing it are great, and since it’s not too heavy, it doesn’t put much strain on my head or neck, even on long rides.
For reference, I use a size M (55~59cm) in the SMITH Network and a size S (55~58cm) in the POC Ventral Air Spin Asian Fit. Among Asian-fit helmets, KPLUS models are wider and closer in shape to Giro, which is why the smaller size S (53-56cm) fits my head better than other brands.
Many of you might be wondering, "Do you really have three helmets?" But I switch between them depending on the outfit I'm wearing that day.

Please take a look at the classic white, grey, and black colors as well and take your time choosing!
Since everyone has a different head shape, I know it can be difficult to choose a helmet, but for those of you who have never found one that fits properly due to having a wider head or prominent temples, I highly recommend giving this one a try.
We receive many inquiries about helmets via email as well. If you can let us know the brand, model, and size of the helmet you currently use, we will be able to provide you with more detailed advice, so please feel free to reach out!
