Spring is in the air, isn't it?
If it weren't for the hay fever, it would be the perfect season for cycling.
I imagine many of you are thinking about buying a new bike at this time of year.
So, I’d like to introduce the Kona 2016 ROVE ST, which I've been riding since this winter, in hopes that it will help you in your own bike selection process.
KONA 2016 ROVE ST ¥197,000- (plus tax)
It’s been about three months since I started riding it.
For the first time in a few years—or rather, the last decade—I'm riding it exactly as it came from the factory.
It didn't come with pedals, so I attached my Shimano clipless pedals, but
other than that, I haven't changed a thing.
Even so, this "ROVE ST" is so well-balanced in its first setup that I have no complaints even without making any modifications.
Usually, with factory-complete bikes, there are a few places you want to swap out, but
I have no complaints at all for daily commuting or casual weekend rides.
It’s almost too well-made; I'm almost sad there’s nothing to change.
The well-thought-out geometry places an emphasis on comfort.
It is designed so that feedback from the road is transmitted to the rider naturally, giving you the sensation of reflecting your desired image through the handlebars into your ride.
The bike itself is equipped with plenty of mounting eyelets, making it easy to install racks or fenders if you want to add them.
It’s built in a way that makes it easy to try out the things you want to do, both in terms of your mindset and your equipment.
It's great as a daily companion.
It's great for exploring off-road trails.
It's great for racing.
It's great for attaching bags and heading out on a journey wherever the mood takes you.
I believe you can use it however you see fit.
The Rove series also has other models made of aluminum and titanium.
There is a video that brings the series together, so please take a look.
It’ll make you want to pack your bags and head out tomorrow.
Whether for the upcoming cycling season, the cyclo-cross season this winter, or year-round camp rides, you can leave it all to this one bike.
I, too, plan to head out once the pollen settles down.
I have a feeling this will be a long-lasting relationship.
