When Ryosuke Kawato challenged the "Continental Divide Trail" in the U.S. in 2017, he used prototypes of these socks until they wore out. Afterward, he analyzed the worn-out socks and upgraded them to create the HIKER TRASH socks.
Not only are they highly reliable due to feedback from real-life experience, but they are also packed with features that are great for trail running and hiking, as well as cycling and touring.
Comfort with Merino Wool + Carabiner Hole

Valued for their natural odor-resistant, moisture-wicking, and heat-retaining properties, wool has become an essential material for activewear such as base layers, T-shirts, and socks. HIKER TRASH socks are also knitted using shrink-proof merino wool.
Shrink-proof, as the name implies, refers to material that has been treated to prevent shrinking. Since regular wool can shrink or pill like felt when washed, it usually cannot be put in the washing machine, but thanks to this anti-shrink treatment, these can be machine washed (do not tumble dry).
If you are camping, you can wash your socks, let them dry overnight, and wear them again the next day for your activities.
With such scenarios in mind, HIKER TRASH socks feature a built-in carabiner hole, a convenient feature that makes them easy to hang from a tent or tarp to dry. Don't forget your logo-branded carabiner when you head out.
While this isn't limited to HIKER TRASH, merino wool has little fuzz and a smooth texture, so it is recommended even for those who dislike the prickly feel of regular wool.
Excellent design for better fit and durability

Have you ever had your favorite pair of socks develop holes in the toes or heels, or lose their shape and become uncomfortable?
HIKER TRASH socks might just solve those problems.
If you turn HIKER TRASH socks inside out, you can see the secret to their improved fit and durability: they are knitted with extra thickness only in the areas that make contact with the sole of your shoe, from toe to heel.
Because the parts that wear out the fastest are knitted more thickly, they are incredibly durable. Furthermore, this thickness fills the gap between your foot and the shoe, providing an excellent fit and cushioning.
Personally, I find that my feet don't get as tired during work, so I actually wear them more often at work than on my days off. The first pair I bought has been used for nearly three years, and although they are starting to pill, there is still no sign of a hole forming.
I just love striped socks.

Socks come in all sorts of colors and patterns, but striped socks remain a classic and easy to wear.
They are great for everyday wear, and also act as a stylish accent for technical activewear, which can sometimes look a bit too uniform in material.
They come in a calf-length, so I think it looks super stylish if the two stripes peek out from your mid-cut trekking boots.
Well, everyone has their own preferences, and HIKER TRASH offers many other wonderful color combinations and lengths. Definitely grab a pair now while we have a full range of sizes back in stock.
