Released as a new product last year, BEDROCK SANDALS’ Mountain Clog (also referred to as the Clog) is back in stock with new colors.
The highly acclaimed series has been restocked, along with some new colors.

The Mountain Clog, with its various utility features, was developed for laid-back bikepacking, trails that require a steady, step-by-step climb, or simply for relaxing at the campsite.
The Mountain Clog is the off-season sandal for barefoot sandal lovers.

A few years ago, BEDROCK SANDALS relocated from Oakland, California, to Missoula, Montana, a place with a much richer outdoor field.
They moved to be closer to the things they love—the remote mountains, the flowing rivers, the endless forests—to live closer and feel more. Montana is the perfect playground for these sandal-loving folks. However, when true winter hit the land of Montana, they started to think.

Could they create something that maintains the free comfort and functionality of sandals even in cold climates?
That is this new product, the Mountain Clog. They poured all of BEDROCK SANDALS' DNA into creating a shoe that covers your toes.

As a bit of behind-the-scenes info, it seems Ronnie Romance (aka Ultraromance) and his circle were involved in the development, making it a product that fits perfectly into bike culture.

NEW COLOR!
This time, in addition to the highly popular real leather brown and synthetic gray, a suede olive green has been added to the lineup.

Their identity remains in the zero-drop, barefoot concept, offering the same comfort as their Carin Sandal, and the soles use Vibram® Mega Grip for solid traction.

The fitting system is also the same as the Carin Sandal, so I highly recommend it to those who already know the comfort of BEDROCK.

By keeping those features while adding toe coverage, it’s an item you can enjoy year-round, regardless of the season.
What kind of sandal is it really?
Because of its clog-like shape, I bought it thinking, "This might be great as a post-ride recovery shoe or for daily life," but it was completely different.
It's an adventure sandal. This thing.

Don't be fooled by its cute, rounded appearance.
The sole is nicely firm, making it perfect for relaxed day touring or long rides on flat pedals.
If you have fenders, you can even go out in the rain without a problem.

The upper is wet in the photos, but so far, I haven't had any water seep through.
Honestly, since the release last year, I’ve been wearing them constantly, and they are genuinely super, super good!

They pair exceptionally well with flat pedals that have pins.

The grip is insane, and perhaps thanks to the zero-drop design, the sensation of being able to keep your feet flat on the pedal is something you won't want to give up once you've tried it—be warned.
Combined with socks, you can wear them comfortably except during the dead of winter.
If you pair them with a long-wheelbase touring bike for a super laid-back ride, you won’t even need after-ride shoes; one pair is all you need to stay comfortable.
I spend my time dreaming about how great it would be to ride American flat dirt roads with these.
Tried them out at WONDER HOPPER
I participated in WONDER HOPPER, the secret event organized by Circles and Earlybirds, wearing these sandals.
I enjoyed the ride at a chill pace while chatting with the other participants.

My companion for the day was my SimWorks Doppo ATB (which became the Doppo Ronin in the subsequent release), a heavier touring bike with flat pedals (SimWorks Tαco Pedal).
For rides where you’re in no hurry, this style is just right.

Genre-less—or rather, if you’re not someone who prefers a fixed style—you’ll likely appreciate this riding style and feel.
LINEUP
As mentioned, the lineup consists of one style in three colors (three fabrics) for your consideration.
BEDROCK SANDALS
Mountain Clog Nubuck Leather

This is the real leather variation, and it is the most expensive one.
However, the leather texture is excellent, and the upper is made from a single piece of leather, so you get that smooth feel where you know you're wearing a "good quality sandal."

The feel might be closest to the leather version of the Boston by a certain sandal brand.
With such great texture and comfort, this is the best choice for those who value "long-lasting quality."

BEDROCK SANDALS
Mountain Clog Synthetic Suede

For a model more specialized for activity, check out this synthetic version.
It uses synthetic (faux leather) material and features a lining.

The upper features a punched design for ventilation, making it breathable and suitable for more intensive activities or use near water.
The affordable and accessible price is also a big draw.

BEDROCK SANDALS
Mountain Clog Suede Leather

And the new color: Sagebrush Green. It’s made from real suede and also features a liner.

Suede is generally soft, so the liner is likely there for reinforcement, but as a result, the cushioned feel of the upper makes it feel more like a shoe than a sandal.

The fit is exceptional, making this the top contender for this season.
It’s also a great recommendation for those who bought them last season and are thinking of getting another pair this term.
