The magazine everyone’s buzzing about has just arrived!
It goes by the name of...
HiHeyHello Magazine
Portland-based HiHeyHello is a print magazine that celebrates women’s outdoor culture, where adventure, sports, and creativity intersect.
Its content covers adventure stories, profiles, food, gear, art, environmental and social issues, outdoor culture, and more. It highlights the diverse outdoor experiences of a new generation of women—women who surf, rock climb, snowboard, bikepack, hike in their own backyards, and more—all while carrying a fresh perspective, a new style, and a desire to be more inclusive and welcoming to all.

The absolute must-see is the latest issue, Issue 004.
It features Rie Sawada—better known as Rie-bo—from SimWorks USA on the cover. In a feature titled “RIDING WITH RIE,” she shares a glimpse of an easy bikepacking trip on the Deschutes River that she recommends, alongside an interview.
As a matter of fact, Rie-bo sent me copies of Issue 003 and 002 from the States last summer, and I never imagined then that she would end up on the cover of the next one (lol). I snapped a photo with her since she happened to be back in Japan for a visit at the perfect time.

The magazine is entirely edited by women. Beyond the substantial content, I felt as I looked through it that it’s not only empowering but deeply inspiring—especially seeing that all the photos for Rie-bo’s feature were shot on film.
