This is a Crosscheck that we recently finished building up.
Since the owner wanted to use it primarily for commuting and for relaxed rides on the weekends, we suggested a combination of high-volume Bruce Gordon “Rock’n Road Tires” and the Sycip “J.J. Bar”. It offers such a relaxed ride.
If you're currently using drop bars but feel a bit tired or are looking for a change, please give these handlebars a try.
Also, while this Crosscheck was painted by Kyutai Paint, the owner assembled it themselves using our #CirclesPitService.
We handled the wheel building since it can be a real labyrinth for someone with no experience, but they did everything else themselves. We spent the whole day working on it, providing advice on the assembly process, key points, and tips!
A bike you already love becomes even closer to you when you’ve built it yourself.
Of course, having a better understanding of how it’s put together changes your mindset while riding and makes it easier to deal with any trouble that might occur on the road.
Just last weekend, another customer used the Pit Service to convert their wife's bike from a touring setup to a comfortable commuting setup. Watching them work—adjusting the handlebar angle, ensuring the brake pull was light, and considering their wife's needs—it was clear how much heart went into the work.
The Pit Service is available at any time for 1,000 yen per day or 12,000 yen per year.
While we can't be by your side the entire time, if you can find some time on a weekday, we can offer plenty of advice, so please feel free to make use of it.
