Desalvo Custom Cycles.
Handmade by Mike Desalvo in Ashland, Oregon.
He is a master of TIG welding on the West Coast, and having won numerous awards since the early days of NAHBS, he has earned the trust of many, building a large fan base, particularly in Portland.
It is also common knowledge that he dedicates himself to educating future generations as a TIG welding instructor at UBI (United Bicycle Institute) and assists with SpeedVagen.
These are the conditions under which Desalvo frames are meticulously crafted. While he focuses primarily on titanium frames, he also builds steel frames. These frames, created with truly beautiful TIG welds, feature extremely simple logos and color schemes that may differ slightly from the custom frames you might imagine. When you actually hold a frame with its clean weld beads in your hands, you can see his careful craftsmanship.
And you will feel this even more clearly once you assemble the bike and take it for a ride.
This time, as a stock Desalvo model, we have received a production version of the Steel Road Racer, which is based on semi-custom geometry adapted to fit Japanese riders.
Desalvo “Steel Road Racer” Frame & Fork ¥280,000 (excl. tax) sizes: 52, 54, 56
Simple color scheme with a color-matched Enve 2.0 carbon fork.
This is a frame built by a man named Mike Desalvo who is sincerely dedicated to the craft of bicycle making.
I encourage you to build up this Desalvo and ride it. I want you to feel it for yourself. I think you will understand everything the moment you step on the pedals.
