The CHRIS KING Open House is where big news is announced every year.

The highlight that gathered the most attention in the November Open House 2021 video was, without a doubt, the CHRIS KING Wheel.
It appeared so casually in the video with its snappy cuts that it took us by surprise. I couldn't help but rewind 10 seconds just to look at the wheels set on the special bike built for this show.

Chris King Original Wheels

Chris King has previously proposed custom wheels using high-quality rims from brands like ENVE and HED.
To achieve the same high level of quality as their existing products, they have partnered with CSS, a carbon rim manufacturer.
Using the next-generation high-end carbon material FusionFiber™️, they are launching a wheel set with their long-awaited original rims.

FusionFiber™️ Rims

The "long-chain polymer fibers" that make up the rim are highly durable against impacts and feature improved vibration damping properties.
Also, unlike common carbon fiber rims bonded with resin, these are made from carbon material woven using nylon-based binders.
This bonding method is easy to form and significantly reduces production time, thereby lowering the cost and energy required for manufacturing.
Furthermore, because this material can be recycled into other forms even if the rim were to break, it is an environmentally friendly new material that balances performance and sustainability.

Available in 2 Models and 3 Lines

The lineup consists of three options: the GRD23 (700c) for gravel and all-road riding, and the MTN30 for mountain bikes in two sizes, 27.5-inch and 29-inch.

Looking at today's disc road and gravel market, the GRD23 is perfectly positioned in the "sweet spot," offering an excellent balance of weight and strength.
The MTN30, which utilizes the characteristics of FusionFiber™️ to deliver stable propulsion and vibration absorption even on trails where road conditions change rapidly, rounds out these two model offerings.

Regarding Delivery

2022 Chris King wheels will be delivered in four separate terms throughout the year.
The first order term has already closed, and current orders will be scheduled for the next delivery term in May.
With three delivery terms remaining in 2022 (May, August, and December), we will notify you of your scheduled delivery date by email after your order is placed.
We will close orders for 2022 delivery once we reach the annual production quota.

Believe it or not, one set has already arrived in the country.
You can now see it at Circles, so please feel free to ask our staff.
We are also planning to take them to the Tokai Cyclocross #4 on January 15th, so racers will have a chance to see them as well.

Of course, the Chris King original wheels are hand-spun at the factory in the US, and then given final adjustments by the expert mechanics here at Circles to ensure they are in perfect condition.
