What is VELOCITY?
Velocity USA was started in 1989 by Tom Black in the suburbs of Brisbane, Australia. The first product was an adjustable aluminum water bottle cage called the "Velocage," which Tom's brother, John Black, began selling in the United States. In 1991, they released their first aluminum rim, the "Aero," and became famous for the ability to mass-produce rims for custom wheel builders regardless of size, drilling, or color. From the time they started rim manufacturing in 1991 to the present day in 2022, they have remained committed to Made in USA manufacturing.

VELOCITY Cliffhanger

VELOCITY Aileron

Designed to form a clean teardrop shape when fitted with 23-28c tires for high aerodynamic performance, the Aileron is a modern aluminum rim that meets the demands of modern race bikes such as disc road and disc cross bikes.
Designed exclusively for disc brakes, it is sufficiently lightweight and tubeless-compatible.
The wide profile secures greater air volume while also suppressing tire twist, demonstrating high performance in situations such as dirt and gravel that await us.

Found on everything from commuter trail bikes to podium-topping racers, this rim possesses both the lightness required for racing specs and high durability. The newly updated bead hook and bead seat shape extract the maximum performance from low-pressure tubeless tires, while the short, thick sidewalls support the undercarriage with surprising rigidity.
