Joe Breeze
Joe Breeze is known as the frame builder who created the world's first mountain bike, having been one of the friends who enjoyed racing alongside Gary Fisher, who is often called the father of mountain biking. This happened about 40 years ago, in 1977. At that time, while riding in the mountains using the "clunker" style that originated from the hippie culture of the 1970s, the term "mountain bike"—which we now use as a matter of course—was born.
BREEZER BIKES is the brand established by Joe Breeze, the man who brought the mountain bike to life. While not a very familiar name in Japan, the brand celebrates its 40th anniversary this year and has officially landed in the Japanese market for the first time.
In fact, we at Circles have started carrying the brand, and we would like to introduce a few of the models that have arrived.
The models that have arrived are two versions of the RADAR series.
Capable of covering any situation from city riding and dirt trails to full-scale bike packing, these models are recommended for both those looking for their first bike and those searching for their next one.

Size: M(51cm)
¥125,000 (excl. tax)
With a double-butted chromoly frame and fork equipped with rack and fender mounts, as well as a total of five bottle cage bosses including those on both sides of the fork, the Radar Expert is truly a heavy-duty bike.
The wide drop handlebars offer excellent control, and the bike comes standard with WTB Riddler Race tires. Their 700x45c volume enables stable riding even on unpaved roads. By the way, if you downsize the wheels to 27.5 inches, this overachiever can accommodate tires up to 2.1" wide. This is what you call "Monster Cross" conversion. Check out this blog for more details. It might be on the test!
With a low 75mm bottom bracket drop and a longer 458mm chainstay length, it offers a low center of gravity and excellent straight-line stability. There is plenty of clearance when attaching pannier bags, so there is no need to worry about your heels hitting them, and another key point is its high stability when heavily loaded.

Size: S(48cm)
¥95,000 (excl. tax)
In contrast, the Radar Cafe uses the same frame but features flat handlebars, making it easy for anyone, including women, to handle. It’s perfect for city riding when fitted with a front basket, rear rack, and center stand for picnics, or it can be used as a touring bike for camping trips and bike packing.
The default tire size is a voluminous 29x1.90", providing solid support on both pavement and dirt, while also increasing stability when loaded with gear. The tan-wall tires further accentuate the maroon-colored frame.
It comes equipped with hydraulic disc brakes, offering impeccable stopping power. Its cost-performance, coming in at under 100,000 yen, is another attractive feature (the frameset alone retails for ¥58,000 excluding tax, after all).
We have display models in the store, so please come and see them in person!
And to commemorate the arrival of Breezer Bikes in Japan, we have collaborated with the pioneers of custom handmade bike packs, PORCELAIN ROCKET, to create an exclusive, limited-design TESS Basic Seatpack!
These will be given as a gift to the first customers to purchase a BREEZER BIKE priced over 200,000 yen, so if you’ve been interested in BREEZER BIKES, please come talk to us soon!
