Brand new Dirty Rhonda!!

Now that RIDEALIVE has finished, we have a packed schedule of events ahead: SSJ, Nobeyama CX, the Social Tower Market in Nagoya, and the main "Dai-Nagoya Bicycle Folk Exhibition." In the midst of all this, time has slipped by without us being able to share the big news of this renewal with you in a timely manner, but I’d like to take this opportunity to properly introduce the brand new “Dirty Rhonda” from SimWorks.

The long-awaited renewal of the classic SimWorks by Nitto “Dirty Rhonda” is finally here.
Like the Rhonda, Wendy, and Tomboy, it now features a 4-bolt aluminum faceplate. Not only has the clamping power increased compared to the previous model, but while we've kept the signature Dirty Rhonda feature of housing the cable stop on top of the extension, you can now also choose to use the new stopper to house it underneath the extension if you prefer.

This is the older model of the Dirty Rhonda.

This is the top routing setup using the new model.
The cable stop with the adjuster has also been changed to a cleaner, yet more refined design. And, of course, the increased clamping power from the 4-bolt design gives you peace of mind even when racing CX or riding gravel. Since it doesn’t require a traditional cantilever hanger, it’s a great choice for those who want to lower their handlebar height or for bikes with short head tubes.

And here is the new downward routing method.
For those who dislike the cluttered look of top routing, or for those using promenade or flat bars, this option provides a much cleaner cable path.

However, please be careful to always use the included anti-loosening resin-coated bolts when using this setup.

When using the downward routing, a rain-cover bolt is installed on top. While it’s perfectly fine to leave it as is, I suppose it’s just a bad habit of ours to want to do something more with it...

You could remove the screw and use a Silicone TIDDS as a cover, but... since it’s already threaded, we really want to make good use of it.

So, we ended up with this.

We mounted a PDW Alexander Graham bell. It seems like a VIVA bell would work fine here, too. (Though it might be tough with shorter extension lengths.) This kind of customization is a great recommendation for commuter bikes. Today, I really felt the potential of the Dirty Rhonda.

So, if you’ve had a flash of inspiration on how to make good use of the top of the Dirty Rhonda, please post your brilliant ideas on Instagram using the hashtag #howitworkswithdirtyrhonda (sorry for the long tag!).

There might just be something in store for the best submissions (lol).

We have all colors and sizes of the stem in stock, so please feel free to check them out!
