[New Arrival] A Savior for Choosing Your Bottle: BIVO

As the Obon holidays are here, I am concerned about the impact of the typhoons across the country, so please stay safe everyone. While I hope that after this typhoon passes, the season might start to shift towards autumn, it is still quite hot, so please take care of yourselves.

Today, as a "late-summer greeting" from Circles, I’d like to introduce some new items we’ve just stocked.

We are now carrying BIVO, a new bottle brand from Vermont, USA, that could be called the savior of bottle selection!

Stainless steel bottle with a nozzle designed for cyclists

I first learned about the brand BIVO after seeing it reviewed on The Radavist this past spring. While there are other stainless steel bottle brands like KLEAN KANTEEN, BIVO is a stainless steel bottle equipped with a nozzle, allowing you to hydrate easily while riding just like a standard cycling bottle!

Easy-to-drink design by former NASA engineers

With plastic bottles, you have to squeeze the bottle to drink because air enters as the liquid level drops. But you can't do that with a stainless steel bottle, right?

Don't worry! This BIVO features a "Squeezeless" design; you just pull the nozzle cap and tilt the bottle to get a sufficient flow of water. In fact, former NASA engineers were involved in the development team, and they have spent a long time developing it with a focus on achieving a smooth and comfortable drinking experience.

The straw-like object on the underside of the cap might look like the drinking spout at first glance, but it is actually an air nozzle that allows the contents to flow out smoothly when the bottle is tilted.

When I actually used it, I was amazed at how stress-free it was, allowing me to hydrate naturally just by tilting the bottle, regardless of how much liquid was left inside.

No lingering odors and dishwasher safe

Of course, since it’s made of stainless steel, you don't have to worry about lingering odors common with plastic bottles, making it reliable for long-term use. Also, it’s dishwasher safe, which is a rare and welcome feature for this type of model.

Kind to people and the environment

As mentioned earlier, BIVO chose to make a stainless steel bottle not only because it is kind to the user, but also because they care about the environment.

By deeply considering the impact of their raw materials on humans and humanity, they aim to create bottles that use as little plastic as possible, with the goal of keeping the global environment healthy. They carefully scrutinize their materials to meet all requirements—ease of cleaning, recyclability, and durability—resulting in carbon-neutral manufacturing.

It keeps your drinks cold, it's easy to drink from, and continuing to use it helps the environment. I believe BIVO is more than just a stainless steel bottle; it carries a greater significance.

We have three models in stock

We have three different types of bottles in stock this time.

【BIVO】 One 21oz

Capacity: 21oz
Weight: 158g
Height: 21.3cm
Colors: Black, True Blue, Ruby Red, Gray, Mint, Raw
Price: Raw / ¥5,720 (excl. tax), Color / ¥6,490 (excl. tax)

【BIVO】 Duo 25oz

Capacity: 25oz
Weight: 175g
Height: 24.5cm
Colors: Black, True Blue, Ruby Red, Gray, Mint, Raw
Price: Raw / ¥6,490 (excl. tax), Color / ¥7,260 (excl. tax)

The One and Duo feature a basic single-wall construction. While they don't have insulation, they are lighter than the insulated type mentioned below, making them great basic stainless steel bottles to easily enjoy the benefits of BIVO.

Of course, they fit most bottle cages, and the colored versions have a non-slip silicone coating on the surface.

【BIVO】Trio 21oz Insulated

Capacity: 21oz
Weight: 276g
Height: 26cm
Colors: Black, True Blue, Ruby Red, Mint, Raw
Price: Raw / ¥7,260 (excl. tax), Color / ¥8,030 (excl. tax)

The Trio has double-wall construction and can keep drinks cold for over 12 hours. If you always want to drink cold beverages, choose this one without hesitation. Being someone who is sensitive to heat and needs more water than the average person, I chose this one without a second thought.

【BIVO】 Dusty the Dirt Cap

Price: ¥715 (incl. tax)

Finally, an optional part. This dedicated nozzle cap, compatible with all BIVO series, protects the drinking spout from dirt and mud during off-road riding, such as on gravel paths, keeping it clean at all times.

I put the Trio into practice during the BikeToFishing event the other day, and its cold-keeping ability is truly reassuring. I ended up hydrating more than usual. I didn't have the Dirt Cap on this time, but thinking about my usual gravel rides, I feel like it would be better to have it equipped.

So, while the hot days continue, I believe this is a bottle that will surely come in handy—hope you'll take note!
