Invitation to BIKE to 〜Arimatsu Old Town〜

We’re inviting you on a casual bike ride to see the historic streets of Arimatsu in Midori Ward, Nagoya!
Did you know that the Arimatsu townscape is a nationally designated Important Preservation District for Groups of Traditional Buildings, making it a place of great historical value? When you hear that such a cityscape exists right here in Nagoya, you just have to go see it for yourself, right?
The plan is to head over, grab some lunch, take a stroll, and ride back.
It’s about 13km one way, so we’ll take it nice and slow over about an hour!
I think it’s the perfect distance for those who have recently started cycling!

With monuments inscribed with poems tucked into the townscape, it’s a wonderful place for a walk. Best of all, the streets are preserved just as they were when depicted in Edo-period ukiyo-e woodblock prints.
Sounds tempting, doesn’t it? (Haha)
