【BIKE of the WEEK】BASSI BIKES Hog’s Back World Tourer Special

I’ll be the first to admit that "World Tourer" is a rather grand name, but both in spirit and in specifications, this bike is built for world-touring level performance.

Durable Wheels and a Robust Drivetrain: Standalone & Advent

The rims are our familiar favorite, the SIMWORKS by VELOCITY Standalone 001.
These tough rims, essentially Cliffhangers with added eyelets, provide stable, all-terrain performance.

For the drivetrain, we went with the equally reliable MICROSHIFT Advent.
While it’s a 9-speed system—fewer gears than the latest components—the 11-46T wide-range cassette makes even the steepest climbs a breeze.
The thumb shifter features a simple, robust construction, ensuring trouble-free operation on long rides.
And that derailleur? They say it’s so tough, you could hit it with a baseball bat and it wouldn't break...

No More Battery Worries! Dynamo Hub & Light

When it comes to touring and long-distance riding, battery anxiety is an unavoidable problem.

While many modern lights have charge indicators or turn red when the battery is low, it’s all over if the light dies while you're on the move.
Constantly worrying about your battery level is a huge source of stress. Furthermore, riding without lights is extremely dangerous (and, of course, a violation of traffic laws!).

Equip your bike with a dynamo hub and light, and those worries disappear. Even if you unexpectedly find yourself riding in the dark, the dynamo light will keep your path brightly illuminated, ensuring a stress-free experience.

A Faithful Partner to Unlock Your Potential

Not everyone who rides a bike goes on long-distance tours. But whenever the urge to set off on an adventure strikes you, this bike will be your faithful partner.
