For 2024, BEDROCK SANDALS has overhauled its entire lineup with a full model change.

Whether through email, in-person meetings, or our annual customer survey, we have gained insights through feedback from BEDROCK users as well as our own adventures.
After tens of thousands of kilometers of trekking, rafting, cycling, and more, our flagship Cairn series is being upgraded to the new Cairn Evo series (hereinafter "EVO"), which has evolved in both fit and functionality.
Rest assured, the core elements of these award-winning sandals—such as the patented Y-strap design and the highly durable Vibram® soles—remain completely unchanged. The upgrades to the EVO line are designed to make the Cairn more comfortable to wear and longer-lasting.
The most significant changes in the EVO are the refined sizing and adjusted sole shape, which offer a more comfortable fit. This sizing also accommodates standard US sizes (especially smaller sizes). Please see below for details on the improvements to the Evo.
2024 EVO Sizing Update
The biggest change in the EVO series is the new sizing.
Smaller sizes (5/6 to 7/8) have become significantly longer and wider, staying true to US standards. All sizes now feature a straighter shape and an improved toe post position to accommodate a wider variety of foot shapes. This new shape retains the minimalist silhouette loved by those with narrower feet while securing more effective forefoot width. The toe area of the footbed has been widened to provide better toe clearance and ensure a fit tailored to Asian foot shapes.

EVO Sole Update
The EVO series also features the following sole updates:
1: All soles upgraded. All EVO models now feature a new wing-stitched box channel for increased durability.
2: Non-PRO EVO models receive an upgraded Vibram® sole. We have adopted the Vibram® XS Trek Evo, which offers the same durability as XS Trek with even better grip. PRO EVO models continue to use Vibram® Megagrip for ultimate wet-surface performance, with the outsole color changed to dark gray.
3: The Evo 3D footbed features an improved toe and arch triangle for a more comfortable ride.
Model Lineup – New Additions
The model lineup is as follows. While inheriting the traditional lineup, a brand-new comfort-oriented model, the Cairn Evo C, has been added.

When BEDROCK SANDALS first designed the Cairn sandal line, it was a truly significant step forward. More capable and robust than the original Classic type, these sandals quickly became a cornerstone of "freedom footwear."
Since then, they have been loved by many users, traversing the paths of various adventures—from hiking to cycling and waterside activities. With the updated fit and enhanced functionality, the EVO series is already shipping internationally, and in Japan, delivery is scheduled to begin in mid-March, so please look forward to it!
