The Cairn evolved into the Evo series last year. With a wider, more rounded toe shape, more people than ever can enjoy its excellent functionality in complete comfort across a variety of settings.
These are sandals designed to perform whether you are cycling, hiking, occasionally running, or simply going about your daily routine.
Now, the Cairn Evo series is returning with a brand-new color lineup.
This year's additions include two solid colors, Bone Tan and Lupine Purple, along with two floral patterns inspired by wildflowers, Wild Flower in Yellow and Coral—for a total of four new variations. Bone Tan offers a sophisticated, understated style, while Lupine Purple and Wild Flower are perfect for vibrant summer looks, adding a bright touch to your feet.

BEDROCK SANDALS Cairn Evo
The hallmark of the Cairn Evo series is the patented Y-Strap adjustment system, which wraps securely around the bridge of your foot from the toe post. This system provides a level of hold rarely seen in sandals; it keeps your feet firm whether they are wet, you're wearing socks, or even when navigating rushing water. The security it offers is exceptional for any sandal—so much so that it can even rival traditional footwear.
Based on this strap system, the lineup includes five models featuring combinations of two types of outsoles, three footbeds, and two heel straps.
There are various models, but first, let’s introduce the components that make them up.
Outsole
For the outsoles, models with "Pro" in the name feature Vibram® Megagrip, while all other models use Vibram® XS Trek Evo. Both share the same sole pattern, which uses mountain-inspired lugs to shed mud and gravel while providing superior grip.
Vibram® Megagrip for groundbreaking traction
Vibram® Megagrip is a high-performance rubber compound that provides incredible grip on both dry and wet surfaces. It is extremely durable and highly regarded for all kinds of activities, from long-distance trekking and hiking to trail running and mountain biking. Its moderate stiffness allows it to grip effectively on hard surfaces like rocky terrain, maintaining an optimal balance of stability and adaptability. This stiffness also protects the soles of your feet from tree roots and sharp stones.
Note: The color is a subtle dark grey.
Vibram® XS Trek Evo for multi-purpose performance
Vibram® XS Trek Evo is a compound that strikes the ideal balance between the traction and durability required for outdoor activities. It is especially noted for its flexibility and wet-weather traction, making it popular for hiking, trail running, mountain biking, snow sports, and more. Its flexibility provides high responsiveness even on unpredictable terrain.
Heelstrap
The Pro series features the G-Hook, while other models use Velcro. The G-Hook overcomes the issues of Velcro clogging with mud or peeling in rushing water, and it offers exceptional long-term durability. While Velcro may be slightly less robust, it is still very long-lasting, as you rarely need to readjust it once you’ve dialed in the fit.
Footbed
The footbeds, which provide support and come into direct contact with your feet, come in three types: the flat Minimalist Footbed, the 3D Footbed shaped to fit your arches and toes, and the C Footbed (Cushioned) which emphasizes comfort.
Minimalist Footbed (Flat)
The flat Minimalist Footbed offers a ground-feel closest to being barefoot. It is lightweight, highly durable, and flexible, allowing it to contour to your feet and provide support despite its low profile. The surface texture is designed to grip your foot whether dry or wet, while maintaining a shape that keeps you comfortable.
Evo 3D Footbed
The 3D Footbed features a contoured surface that adds arch support and toe-gripping capabilities. Its added thickness provides cushioning that helps reduce fatigue. The foot-contact surface features a "geo-pattern" of pentagonal grooves that offer superior grip in both wet and dry conditions. It is also breathable, allowing for faster moisture evaporation to keep your feet feeling fresh.
C Footbed (Cushioned)
The C Footbed is about twice as thick as the Minimalist Footbed, offering the most cushioning in the entire lineup. The material itself is soft, providing maximum comfort for city strolling or long days on the trail.
Essentially, the five available models are constructed by swapping these three components.

How to Fit
BEDROCK SANDALS, with their excellent strap system, offer a certain level of security and comfortable wear just by tightening the straps. However, to get the best experience, a proper fit is essential, so please be sure to check out this video.
