Let's bring some good luck! 2025 New Year's "Lucky Ride" Bicycle Shimekazari

I feel like I had resolved to make a proper plan and do things right this year, but here we are at the end of the year already... no way.

Even for the resolve of "next year for sure!", you need to start preparing from this year. The most important of these is the New Year's decoration. Let's get everything ready so we can welcome the New Year feeling refreshed.

I started making these "So-Fuku" (Running Fortune) Shimekazari for bicycles because I wanted one myself, and now in our third year, it's clear I have many fellow enthusiasts. Just like in sports, it's important to keep bringing good luck, so we've made them with care again this year.

The design and production are, of course, handmade by Tumbleweed. The rice straw used as the material was sourced from the rice fields of @minamihaaaan, who handles design around Circles.

It’s great for attaching under your saddle, to your front basket, or even on your car or motorcycle. Let’s attach them to things related to movement.

And once you have successfully welcomed the Toshigami (New Year's deity), please send the decoration off by burning it at a Dondo-yaki festival on January 15th or at a shrine.

It is unfortunate that traditional culture is fading year by year, but I think that precisely because we are so connected to the world, the importance of local culture is growing. Let's embrace good fortune and get off to a great start for the year.
