【PIT TIPS】I don't like getting dirty.

It’s still hot out, but I can hear the approaching footsteps of the season.

That’s right, it’s "Cyclocross Season"!

We’ve started receiving inquiries at the shop regarding wheels and CX tubular tire replacements in preparation for the season.

The opening round of the Tokai Cross is on November 4th.
As the saying goes, "He who conquers the summer, conquers CX," so early preparation is key.

With that in mind, I decided to experiment with a little tweak to my cable routing for the upcoming CX season.
The main goal, of course, is "mud protection."

Just as it was this summer, there’s a possibility of rough weather during the winter months as well.
I'm aiming for reliable shifting and braking even in those conditions.

I’ve attempted a triple-layer approach to prevent mud from entering the cables.
It’s still in the experimental stage, so I plan to use different materials for the shifting and braking systems to monitor changes in "lever pull feel" and "durability." While the ideas and materials are still being refined, I hope to be able to offer this as a service to everyone before the season starts.

Stay tuned!! (I have to put some pressure on myself, right?)
