Everyone, are you out riding your bikes?
In addition to Western Japan, the rainy season has also ended in the Tokai region. We aren’t seeing much typical weather, just a constant, sweltering heat, but as for me, I’ve been hopping on my bike to head out and have fun whenever I have time, both for my commute and on my days off.

However, you need the right preparation for those times. This includes everything from multi-tools, a puncture repair kit, and spare tubes, to snacks for replenishment and salt intake, and even easy-to-carry rain gear, which has become necessary lately due to sudden changes in the weather.

TADE QUI produces various bags that can efficiently store such essentials, attach securely and easily to your bike, and possess a sophisticated look while doing so.

These items, crafted individually by Mr. Hosokawa—a cyclist to the core—in his home studio, are packed with his meticulous ideas. I personally love using these items and find them incredibly useful!

So, once again this year, we are inviting Mr. Hosokawa to host a TADE QUI POP UP!

TADE QUI POP UP STORE @Circles
Date: July 19 (Sat) - July 21 (Mon), 2025
10:00 ~ 19:00
Venue: Circles 2F
During the event, you’ll be able to see various types of items, and we have plenty in stock that you can purchase on the spot.

New sacoche models will also make their debut at this time, and of course, you can also get custom orders—something rarely possible unless Mr. Hosokawa himself is present!
It’s going to be a packed, exciting event, so please come by!
What’s tade qui???
Chapter 1:
There is no accounting for tastes.
In Japan, there is a proverb: "Tade kuu mushi mo suki-zuki" (Even the insect that eats smartweed has its preferences).
It implies that just as there are insects that choose to eat bitter and spicy smartweed, people’s tastes are varied.
TADE QUI makes bikepacking bags for those discerning cyclists who have their own unique tastes.
There are many ways to enjoy cycling.
Sometimes you might just enjoy the pure ride, while other times you might load up your cherished gear to go camping, fishing, or head out on a coffee ride.
What do you do when you’re on your bike?
What do you put in your bag?
TADE QUI fulfills your quirky and particular needs.
Chapter 2:
Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder.
Beauty lies in the eyes of the one who looks.
TADE QUI makes bikepacking bags for cyclists with good taste.
Many of these people likely ride beautiful handmade steel bikes.
A beautiful bike deserves a beautiful bag.
The usability of the bag is, of course, important, but TADE QUI believes its "presence" is even more important.
Does it harmonize with the bike?
Does the gear fit beautifully?
Is the bag itself beautiful?
These are the things TADE QUI is particular about.
Chapter 3:
Love is what makes you good at things.
"Suki koso mono no jozu nare" (What one loves, one does well).
"The balance between design and function"...
It is achieved through specifications and patterns suited to the purpose, optimal materials, and careful sewing, but many manufacturers prioritize efficiency and divide the production process into small, specialized tasks.
TADE QUI does it all alone, in what you might call a "cottage industry."
The minimum requirement for creating a good product is respect for cycling culture and the accumulation of knowledge that comes with it.
Because we love it, we go through trial and error, remake prototypes countless times, and repeat test rides to polish our products.
Because we follow this extremely inefficient process, we can only produce a very limited quantity, and the price is by no means cheap.
We also don't have the same access to sewing equipment or material development and procurement as large manufacturers. There are plenty of cheap, high-performance bags in the world.
Even so, if there is a reason to choose TADE QUI, it is none other than the depth of our love (perhaps even a fanatical one) for bicycles and cycling culture.
Have a nice ride. Have a nice day!
